Not everyone has access to guns, knives however are in everybody’s possession. Western media tends to normalize violence and explicit contents, that’s probably why you find it funny when you see it done differently in K-dramas.
Let me get this right, the cop is the son of the widow, she claimed that her husband was a good person, and that he died in a car accident. In the first episode there was an accident, where a little girl (currently the producer) lured a woman to the scene, she claimed that her father needed help but the woman was killed by that man as the little girl watched in fear. Coincidence? I think not! Maybe, there was always two psychopaths?
I see the story is much better without On Dal, Instead of changing the actor, it was better to end the role gradually, turn him from a major character to a support role, as they did with the previous episodes. It’s a folklore, not real historical events anyway.
