Loved it. If you love "my amazing boyfriend", then it is kind of similar. It is a funny romantic drama with a bit of some events to keep you entertained. A nice watch.
The show doesn't really have any new element on previous dramas. So it was not entertaining at all. Rain is hilarious in "comedic" roles and his girl is cute but story wise nothing new.
The first 20 episodes were very enjoyable. Joe Cheng is sooo charismatic in this series. Zhang Min's character was a bit tooo foolish and pretty much never protected his Lord like other disciples. From 20 to 30 draggy and a little boring. Then it becomes better but complicated and confusing. Overall an ok watch but not the best.
Wow, Exactly my thoughts. I have been Kdrama fan al the way. Back then I said to myself, why would anyone watch a chinese drama of 60 episodes?? But oh man, I then got hooked to chinese and right now totally get bored by Korean ones. In my opinion, the Kdramas lost their appeal. Although the actors that we love are still there, the story is always missing something or the supporting ML or FL (take for example the FL in Dr John) is not giving the drama its credibility. On the other hand, chinese dramas have many elements right (taking aside they are looooong and come often with a tragic ending) but you have the cinematography of flying swords, charismatic and handsome leads, romance, suspense etc. And since I watch dramas to forget my harsh work/life etc, I want these elements to lighten me up. That being said, OCN and tvn are trying to keep good deective shows, however, older ones were much more appealing to me. So for me right now: Chinese to binge watch, Japanese detective to watch while having dinner :)))
