My favorite antagonist currently would have to be Le Yu Beom from WYWS. What I loved about him so much is that he had this god complex and due to not being the one "pulling the trigger" per se (up until the end) had a part of him where he thought he was innocent. The reason he's one of my favorites is because of how realistic he is. He's a prime example of what happens when you slowly begin compromising your morals for money and power.

I love Jang Na Ra and moral lessons taught through dramas/media, but I gotta say. I read the first two chapters of the manhwa and while I'm aware the drama is likely not similar to the manhwa at all, let's just say the manhwa mayyy have marred it so that I might pass on this drama.

I'm pretty sure LJS actually wanted to be an action movie actor (hence why he played in V.I.P which was objectively not bad, but I personally disliked it strongly) but got stuck in dramas due to his pretty appearance, so he tends to pick very interesting plots that as I said go beyond basic romance dramas.

While You Were Sleeping became a hit because of the storyline and basically everything except Suzy's acting. Her…
As someone who loves WYWS more than any drama (to say how much, it's the only drama that has made it to my top ten favorite TV shows, as well as the only drama I'll recommend to non-drama watchers), I will acknowledge it has its faults, one of which is Suzy's acting being static and unbelievable at certain points. In short, I fully agree with you, though I also agree with BlackPanther watching Uncontrollably Fond then watching WYWS her acting has improved largely and I've seen actual actresses/non-idols play female leads and do far worse than Suzy. But I strongly agree with you that the cinematography, plot, and other actors are what makes this drama so good and in my opinion, what makes it good enough to go beyond being a basic romance drama.

I'd say watch this if you're beyond bored, otherwise give it a pass. Chang Mo (whose 1970s version is played by Seo In Guk who I'm a fan of, so I may be biased) and Sun Ho were the only characters I actually kinda liked.

Sometimes I think he can not use voice properly. He always use the same tone like a news announcer.
I'm aware this is an old comment, but he actually can't use his voice properly. No kidding, he's actually tone deaf, it's why SM Ent kicked him out of a group he was going to be in.

I feel like I'm the only one who felt deeply disturbed by this movie. I know LJS is famous for being typecasted and playing the same old characters, so I'm glad he got a role outside of his typical protagonist cage, but as a fan of his seeing him go from a gentle hero role to such a disturbing, sickening, tainted character was just jarring and makes me feel differently about his other roles. Though of course, it's merely acting, I just can't watch his other works (such as WYWS, which is my favorite drama, unfortunately) currently without picturing him in this disturbing role. I hope I'm not alone in this and hopefully, I'll get over it in a few days and can go back to rewatching WYWS, but at current, I'm sitting with an uneasy feeling. That said it was interesting, but as I've seen some reviews say, the gruesome scenes with the female victims were far too drawn out and intense, for me at least and that's what gave me such a marred feeling leaving this movie, granted the movie was probably meant to disturb the viewer, but I'd rather walk out with a moral lesson and feeling of justice being served, rather than feeling paranoid and sickly.

People are saying he looks like a lot of different idols, but to me he looks crazy similar to Taeyang from BigBang.

Can someone suggest some dramas that don't have the stuff listed here?
Out of the dramas I've seen more than half had this stuff and it's disappointing and makes me feel like I've wasted hours of my time for the lead guy to just end up being a jerk.

The dramas I've seen that don't have horribly dominant male leads (at least if I remember correctly) are Shopping King Louie, She Was Pretty (SWP actually may have had some mild verbal abuse actually.), Fated To Love You, and Oh My Venus. The rest have

Am I the only one who feels at least slightly disturbed that he's legally (yes, yes I know he isn't even slightly related to her biologically, but the fact that he's legally her uncle still kinda weirds me out) her uncle? I'm on episode six and I'm really near dropping it because it keeps being brought up. Is it worth it to keep watching?/Does it stop being awkward with the whole uncle thing?
