Literally can't finish this drama. There's nothing cute and/or attractive about cheating behind your significant other's back. I don't care whether Gi-Seok is a jerk, it doesn't justify it. Emotionally, she was cheating on her long-term boyfriend and Ji-Ho was going along with it.
Can y'all let me know when this drama finishes airing if the mains end up being siblings? Bc, I can't deal with sitting through watching it and then getting some incestual shit.
A story about a man with few friends, who doesn't want to get married, enters into a fake marriage/relationship with an enthusiastic girl in order to keep a house he likes. They soon develop feelings for each other and separate, the girl doesn't want to get married again immediately partly because her parents had a rough relationship and partly because she wants to find the meaning of marriage. They end up married at the end.
Am I referring to Because It's My First Life or Marriage, Not Dating? You tell me.
I was like "He wasn't in Another Miss Oh"! But actually, he mildly did cheat in that lmaoooooooo. Well, there actually is one where he doesn't (Go Back Couple) but your point still stands lol.
I think it's because to a certain degree kindness is kindness (as in a person doing good to those around them)…
That's noble idiocy though. Which granted, can come into play with kindness, but the kindness I'm referring to in my initial comment isn't that sort of thing. If you haven't seen the two dramas I referred to in my comment I'd suggest checking them out and you'll see more so what I meant.
Kim Mi Yeong and Ma Jin Joo are two amazing examples of kindness, unselfishness, and strength, they just exhibit their strength in ways different from the "norm". And that's what I was referring to. I wasn't saying "Let yourself be willingly trampled on, that's strength." more so characters (and real-life people, for that matter) that have gone through traumatic things and come out the other side still maintaining a gentle and kind heart are usually not given as much respect as characters who go through traumatic things and are like "f**k the world". The idea is that people handle things differently and many-a-times people only wanna view things from their point of view not really realizing that people exhibit strength differently.

I agree to some extent, but even there, as you said there is a clear line between that, and in those cases, the kindness is not the problem, it's the lack of respect for oneself. It depends on whether the kindness is forming from love for others or if it forms from fear of disapproval. If it's the first case in which it forms from love for others even verging onto "stupidity" is deserving of respect in my opinion.
The problem is when the female lead is kind to others out of fear of disapproval.
I think a fundamental problem is that people fail to see that strength can be exhibited in more than one way. So they see characters such as Ma Jin Joo (Go Back Couple) and Kim Mi Yeong (Fated to Love You, ironically both these characters are played by Jang Na Ra) and immediately label them as innocent, weak, cowardly women when in actuality it takes a lot of strength and perseverance to constantly have crap thrown at you and still maintain a loving and gentle heart.
The only likable characters to me were Detective Park, Mi-Do, and (kinda) Hee-Jin.
The soundtrack was fantastic tho.

Kindness is not weak.
