His role plays a BIG part in this. His brother is basically the reason for what happened to LB’s father. Him meeting LB was fate, he’s said it countless times, he doesn’t have any purpose staying at the court judicial review but LB keeps telling him, he DOES have a purpose. He may say some random stuff, but actually it ends up being a clue. LB is very attached to him & doesn’t want to let him go. General QQZ on the other hand is sly, he’s wishy washy. Why put him there when he’s already made a pact to be on the other side? Didn’t you see how many times he interfered in LB’s investigations? CS may look like he’s just there to you, but LB & the rest of us might have a different opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️.

When shangguan Lin asked LB, when LB saw QQZ trying to arrest him, if he’s ever regretted saving QQZ when he was a slave. LB avoided the question, but had a pained look. It feels like, he sometimes regrets it,other times he doesn’t.

I like it when he arches an eyebrow. Looks cool & kinda hot 😏.

I’m pretty sure when the empress told LB to be more careful, after she told him she made Lai zhongshu vice minister, was because she knew about yong’an pavilion & those old geezers of ministers secret society & the things they’ve been plotting. She also knew that they sent Lai zongshu to control the narrative & remove LB & the members from the court judicial review. If LB didn’t understand then(tho he had a suspicious face,when the empress said be more careful), I’m sure he gets the drift now.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s episodes. I really haven’t felt this exciting in a while & this drama JUST gives me that.gotta say Ryan Ding(Ding yu xi) portrays his character very well, sometimes I even forget he’s acting cos he does it so well. This is also my first time watching his drama & he’s left quite an impression on me.

This scene is ep 29, before the gang got suspended & LB told CS to go back to shendu.

He had his suspicions, remember how LB got away with CS after they fought & QQZ said LB? he knows Lai zhongshu is after LB, that’s why he went straight to the secret prison. When he shot the arrow,he didn’t know it was LB, he knows it was only LZ & LB that were there, plus LB’s uniform & his fish pendant CS gave him kinda sealed the deal for him.

He knows YZH is a cat demon, cos he was the one who pulled his fangs. QQZ might’ve suspected LB has powers, since he was a weak kid from childhood & was fated to die early. But now that he’s in good health, great martial arts & his skills are non-human,it might’ve given him a clue but he wasn’t sure what exactly LB is.

If you watched the last minute of ep 30, he found out it was LB.

The way he was side eyeing wang qi & sun bao made me chuckle.
