I wish him all the success for the future and hope he gets more leading roles. No offence but his profile picture does not do him justice. I was gonna submit one of the pics from here but I don't know if its copyrighted. Of course there's also other pictures more recent as well. https://chineseredcarpet.tumblr.com/post/730839252767784960/ao-ruipeng-for-tom-ford-beauty
I finally finished it, side characters did not catch a break goddamn. BL and ARP did a phenomenal job. Especially ARP for his first main gig. I also loved DLW, the actress that played Bai Xi and Fu Ling, very versatile and talented can play both the role of a sweetheart and ruthless assassin.
I wanted to watch this after all the episodes came out and I'm on ep 37 but I have to say the eternals are the most useless infuriating beings on MM, they're nothing but a nuisance. Only a hand full of them are actually smart.
Everything about the drama was great where I thought I wasn't gonna get hooked but I did. This is a gonna be a huge rant but I have to say it got really confusing towards the end, like I get they were trying to bring about that concept of the end is the beginning and the beginning is the end, I'm too stupid to understand so whatever but what I wanted was more scenes from FL and ML as all of their characters combined.
Idk if this will make sense, and correct me if I'm wrong but ZM demon lord said XXC is apart of him, essentially intertwined as one after his death, but shouldn't that technically apply to MXL and AZ as well, they made it seem like they were two different people who had nothing to do with each other other than the cycle of reincarnation.
With the demon lord as well, they made it seem like he was a separate person from both XXC and ZM and nobody loved him, but I just saw him as a darker extension of the ML. They were all apart of each other but it felt like watching 5 different characters in some love square or hexagon, idek what to call it.
The fact I'm racking my head over different characters played by the same actor and actress speaks volume of their abilities, it was refreshing to see a FL who'd do anything for the ML and have that I'd burn or save the world only for you mental. I loved her feisty personality when she scolds anyone, especially the DL, for her first main gig acting role, she killed it. With ML, he knows how to play darker characters so well, when DL was flirting with MXL in ep 37, the actions came so naturally to him.
I do wish the characters he played as were more selfish as he puts the world above anything but thats what makes him him. Each side character also had a profound, complex love story that attests to who they are, like Qian Guang and Sang Qi. The child actresses A Bao and young MXL are adorable and extremely talented. I could keep going but its already long enough.
I'm gonna go off on a rant a bit, I hate what they did to the FL. Like you expect me to believe after she survives, she doesn't keep tabs on the ML at all. Yeah she's scared of losing control but eventually she manages to do so with her secretary.
Then for them to build up on her thirst for brains, especially when she's injured and mid way have that plot completely vanish like it was never there. The girl went on a bloody killing spree, lowkey was having a venom moment when she got injured but later got stabbed and healed just fine.
Not to mention towards the last episode, the writers rendered her najin and took it out. That was just sad. I loved all the fight scenes, especially hers. They could've done a lot more with her is all. Also how exactly is her najin able to move after being injected?
They really had a no on screen fraternization with unmarried pairs in this one. Even the adulterers' kisses were…
Regardless, what you said makes sense, we only got 2 proper kiss scenes and that was only during and after their wedding the rest including those from the other characters were blocked in some way.
The rain scene was the most memorable for me. The push and pull aspect, the seductive gazes, their faces centimetres apart was 🤌. I wish they had more scenes like that, ik their relationship wasn’t the main focus but I’m just greedy and want to continue to see more intimate scenes.
Beginning of ep 38 was really intense. It was the first time I think I’ve seen leads who were actually willing to die together. From XZ telling her to smile, to her trying and both of them just started bawling their eyes out, that vulnerability was captured so well, they did phenomenal there.
Also this show gave me a bi panic I have a crush on Shen Li, Xing Zhi, Mrs Jin, and Feng Lai. They’re all so fineee for what omg.
