But I'm so glad someone wrote an article for Pride. It's one of my favorite dramas and have never forgotten it. It's totally worth watching...again & again :D

oooh, K2H liked a lot, and METS is also a part of my all time favorites just like Rebel, but I haven't seen tBM & GoF, yosh, thanx I'll check them out ;)

Yosh, Six Flying Dragons has been on my ptw list for quite some time, just couldn't find that one tipping point to start watching it even thou everyone who's seen it seems to be raving mad about it, it was that great, but I just finished watching (and re-watching) Rebel and crave some more of Yoon Gyun Sang's acting and a powerful drama...so SFD it is!
I have high hope for this one ^^

So, finished watching Rebel in nearly one go and absolutely fell in love with it because everything was amazing -the plot, the acting, the directing, the ost - and now I'm suffering the withdrawal - nothing seems as good, so I just keep re-watching it & listening to the ost :p
Any recommendations of smt that would leave the same powerful impact as Rebel did?

I don't think it was ever properly explained.
We only know her surname is Song cuz she said so and that her father sold her. Maybe her family aren't slaves and so even though she got sold off she could keep her surname because I don't think Ga Ryung was a slave.
She just got sold off to kisaeng parlor or smt, but there was never a mention of her being a slave and she certainly had her freedom to do whatever she wants after the parlor closed down when Nok Su & co went to the palace.
So maybe even if she did become a slave/servant after her father sold her, she got her freedom back after serving the kisaengs.

Same here, just finished it and now nothing else seems interesting or have already seen it, so I just keep re-watching Rebel XD

Is there anything else that's as amazing or at least has similar powerful vibes? Not necessarily the plot, but the feeling of it all ^^

Awesome movie! Loved every bit of it. And especially liked all the different weapons that got showcased here, nice. Also, when he put those two swords together into one weapon, cool :D

ugh, ban this, ban that, censor that, censor this...goddammit china, stop doing it! And SK too, for that matter...thou they're considerably better, for sure.

Thou I don't have such a big problem when it comes to smoking, tattoos & such...it just seems stupid to me. It's part of real life, so why the hell censor or ban it on tv? Looks moronic.
If kids are the problem, make age restrictions.

They should ban advertisements instead! I think I'm already sick of seeing Rio drinks in c-dramas or subway in kdramas T_T

What annoys me the most with chinas bans are the cleavage...cuz it totally ruined Empress of China, all those gorgeous costumes...for nothing. If it fits historical attire, then they should allow it!
Also, ban on supernatural elements. Thou most of the time chinese cgi is crappy, there are also times when it's not and I love fantasy/supernatural dramas!

oooooh, as in she has to die to become a deity or smt? Possible, totally possible, like, if she does something super great (in this case saves earth from becoming hell with her samjang duty) and as a reward gets to become a deity upon death...yussss, I sooo hope smt like that would happen!

I'm kinda glad they didn't make a huge conspiracy or smt deal out of zombie girl.Hit & run or in this case hit & cover it up, but that's so much reality, sadly.
Keep the subplots simple as to not mess it all up and concentrate more on the main plot.
I'm actually liking that simplicity quite a lot and we already know that politician who did it is a big deal, so zombie girl's plot won't be quite that simple.

Wasn't it the other way around? The one whom she meets and bell rings will be the one to bring about her death?
Anyway, I'm inclined to think that instead of actually murdering her, it'll be more of an accident or unavoidable circumstances or smt along that
