I’m not quite sure how I feel about this drama. So far (up to episode 31), the development of the relationship between the male and female leads feels rather slow to me; the whole thing feels a bit lonely. The story seems interesting—a bit different—but it feels like the focus wasn't, and still isn't, on their relationship (in my opinion).
I’m going to watch it through to the end... I just hope the story doesn't get rushed in the final episodes or let me down with the last one.
I read some comments from people who dropped the series or found the characters manipulative and annoying; personally, though, I liked the story. I enjoyed the chemistry between the male and female leads and the way they complemented each other and played off one another's tactics.
I think that in recent years, I’ve only seen Meng Zi Yi in traditional-style dramas.
