Some are taking the korean culture from kdramas as if it's reality. There's no such thing as an unbending rule. Hugging is acceptable in Korea for close friends.

It might be that they symbolize those creatures from folklore and it is already present in the drama, it's just that we are not familiar and we will interpret everything our way. It doesn't bother me, though. I googled Korean mythology the other day, there isn't much, as they mostly share same mythology with Chinese, so there's more vast information if you check the Chinese one. Anyways, after some research, it turned out that everything is linked to Yin and Yang, even the fire egg. So it all started to unfold since Cho Yeon retrieved the Yin Yang gem from Jinyowon. Since Koreans and Asians in genral are more attached to this symbolism, for them it was clear from the start. Thus they are one step before us in all the theories. :)))
PS: I'm going to stop checking on others theories, it spoils my fun. I'd much rather keep on dreaming my own. :))))))
