I liked the Jin eyeliners in s1 better. Now Mama Jin's arrows are sharper and Cho Yeon's are wider. I thing it is used to reflect their personalities. Mama Jin got crueler and CY is kinder now.

Ok, I read your comment like 3 times. I believe there might have been a typo and you meant master Seo. I also believe Uk has a similar destiny to master Seo and BY's is similar to Jin Seol-ran. So it's another parallel.
The problem is, we don't have that much information about either Master Seo or Jin Seol-ran. We know he stopped all Mages insanity who wanted to possess the ice stone and then he sent the ice stone to Jin Seol-ran to save her life, but she did not use the ice stone, thus she died. But we don't know about how Master's Seo life ended. Or I don't remember if it was mentioned before.

I secretely suspect Master Lee actually being Master Seo and he told everyone he was master's Seo pupil to explain his powerful skills.
But Master Lee definitely knows what is going on with Uk and where everything is headed.

Our plot holes are going to transform into black holes soon hahaha. BTW, read redphoenix22 theory below, it seems to have the answer to close the black hole before it gets bigger.

Love your logic! I agree with you completely "he who was born with the king star shld be the one who has the ability to control the ice stone". I hope the writers have the same in mind, because it's the most logical explanation and it resolves a ton of the confusions.

This! As I woke up this morning, master Lee's words came to me, him at the funeral saying those words that he can't die yet, but it still can be interpreted as in he was granted the power of the skies as in the ice stone. It's so ambiguos, and maybe it is for a reason. You never know with Hong sis.
Yes, Buyeon told Mudeok that, hinting that the one who possesses the ice stone will have to sacrifice everything/everyone. Uk lost his love and has no desire to live on (at least at the beginning of s2).

A middle night theory:

Jang Uk was resurrected because he was born under a King’s star and not because of the ice stone. The ice stone only healed him faster. So if the ice stone is removed he will not die.
Like remember we thought Naksu shifted souls due to the AOS she performed and later it was explained by Master Lee that it was Buyeon who trapped Naksu's soul and that Naksu's AOS failed. Naksu actually died and both Naksu and BY's souls remained in one body.

Maybe this would be another parallel.

Yes, I thought the plan to marry the uncle was after he already found out she is the true JBY. So yeah, it was confusing.

So, I re-watched episode 4. The Queen has the flashback during the fireworks at the party, Jin Mu telling her that if a soul shifter kills BY in front of everyone, ppl will naturally think it was Naksu and Jang Uk will be to blame, then Jinyowon and Uk will become enemies and it will fall into their hands. So basically, if there is no heir and no Uk to protect Jinyowon, all the relics will be taken from them for protection.

I am re-watching 2 episodes per night everytime I finish re-re-watching the 4 new episodes. 🤣
