Just about to start this series after seeing a clip on TikTok—that slap with respect! I think I’m gonna love the FL already. 😍 Anyway, I don’t mind spoilers, and I’ve read some reviews, so I’m prepared for the ML being a total douche.
Quick questions: 1. When does the FL find out about the cheating? 2. Are there any love triangles (aside from the ML’s mistresses, obviously)? 3. How’s the ending? I don’t mind them getting back together, as long as the ML really puts in the effort to earn her back.
2 episodes in and this is the least likeable FL I can think of. What an entitled, spoiled brat. I'd prefer to…
I just started watching and read some reviews. Many say the female lead has family issues, but most of the comments are bashing the male lead for not setting boundaries and constantly going back to his ex. I’m torn about who to root for—it seems like people end up disliking the male lead more as the story goes on, while the female lead keeps getting better.
I just started the first episode, and I already don’t trust anyone. The male and female leads are business rivals, and the male lead’s ex is engaged to the female lead’s dad. I’m not sure if the ex is bad, but her personality seems fake. I like the female lead so far—she’s strong and independent. I agree with her arguing with her dad about getting engaged to a woman they hadn’t even met yet.
I'm not gonna comment on the actress's acting, but as for the character Bai Ping Ting, I think she's one of the smartest female leads I've seen. She's physically weak, but she's really sharp. That one scene where she memorizes an entire book in front of her dying father made me wonder if she has a photographic memory.
I think this series really stands out with its emotional depth and strong character development. Tianyao’s repeated stabbings of Yanhui, while frustrating, are understandable given his tragic past, but I feel the story could’ve explored a different approach to convey his inner turmoil without making his actions feel unnecessarily harsh. Yanhui, on the other hand, is such a relatable character. At first, she’s selfish, but as the story progresses, her growth into a selfless person who sacrifices for others is really moving. Her development, especially in learning to understand Tianyao’s pain, makes her journey so compelling.
The acting, particularly from the female lead, is a major highlight for me. She brings such authenticity to her role, and her emotional scenes—especially the ones where she’s crying—really draw you in. The chemistry between the leads and the strong performances from the whole cast make the story even more engaging.
While the series doesn’t have the flashy effects or high-budget cinematography you might find in some top-tier dramas, it has its own charm. The character-driven storytelling really makes it shine. The OST is also fantastic. It perfectly complements the emotional tone of the series, and I was impressed by how it enhanced the overall experience. This series is definitely worth watching, and I think it’s also worth rewatching to appreciate all the little details even more.
I'm starting this series next week and don’t mind a few spoilers.
1. How’s the storyline so far? 2. Any misunderstandings? 3. Is there a love triangle? 4. How’s the villain? I’ve watched Cheng Du Ling in Fangs of Fortune, but I missed seeing her as a villain. I love villains that make my blood boil, like her role as Ye Bing Chang in TTEOFM. I heard she’s in this one too!
The casting for this series is impressive, filled with top actors. However, the story is nothing but a string of clichés—a typical setup featuring a Rich cool male lead, a doormat female lead, an arrogant second male lead, and an obsessive second female lead. You also have the cute secondary couple and the usual background actors. It’s like they threw in every cliché imaginable, making it feel very predictable and uninspired.
This series is one of the best I’ve watched in the second half of 2024. I didn’t expect to see Park Shin-hye in a role like this, so I was both surprised and delighted. Known mostly for her dramatic and romantic roles, it was exciting to see her in an action-focused series again—something she’s previously done in Doctors and Sisyphus: The Myth. The plot is unique too, instantly becoming one of my favorites.
The story follows Kang Bitna, a judge possessed by a demon named Justitia. As punishment, Justitia is tasked with hunting down unrepentant sinners who have caused others’ deaths, ultimately sending them to Hell. Along the way, Bitna encounters Han Daon, a detective with a different view of justice, and their chemistry adds a great layer to the plot.
There’s a lot to appreciate in this series:
- It’s satisfying to watch Bitna’s creative methods of punishing sinners, making them feel their victims' pain before their end. - While there isn’t much romance, the chemistry between Bitna and Daon is undeniable. - The cast’s performances are excellent, with the actress playing Gremory standing out among the supporting roles. - The effects are impressive and well-executed. - The pacing keeps the story engaging, and the music adds an immersive, intense atmosphere.
On the downside, there are a few areas where I had higher expectations:
- I expected more from Justitia’s demon enemies. While Paimon had a strong fight scene, Satan—being second in command—didn’t put up much of a challenge, which felt anticlimactic given Justitia’s rank. - The “Nightmare Curse” by Satan in episodes 13 and 14 left some confusion, making viewers question if Bitna was still trapped in a nightmare. - Bael’s role felt underdeveloped. As the one giving orders, I was hoping for a more complex twist around his character.
Overall, this series is absolutely worth watching (and rewatching), especially for those mature enough to handle the darker themes and intense action scenes.
I’m on episode 10, and it was starting to drag, but things just got interesting. Turns out Xiao Di's biological father is actually the ML's dad... This definitely won't end well. Maybe the ML is adopted?
I've just started the first two episodes and I'm enjoying it so far. It's really sad for Zhou Fang—she's lost so much so quickly, but at least she dodged a bullet. I can't imagine her boyfriend of five years doing that to her.
I just started this series, and I’m really enjoying the first episode so far. I hope it gets even better as it goes on. I haven’t seen the original series, so I'm watching this remake with no background knowledge.
I just finished watching episode 10, and I think the 8.7 rating is off. This series deserves at least a 9.0! It’s been exciting with no boring episodes. I thought Kang Bitna would become less badass as she got softer and showed more human emotions, but I was wrong—she’s still strong and fierce! Great job to the writer for keeping her character consistent! 👏
I'm on episode 2 and really hoping Kang Bitna stays true to her attitude as the story goes on. I just don’t want her to get all soft when the romance kicks in—it's annoying when female leads start strong and then change just because they fall in love.
I gave up on this series after a few boring episodes, but some edits pulled me back in, and now I’m hooked. No regrets — turns out, it’s actually worth a second chance!
Episode 1 is absolutely captivating and already bringing me to tears. The humiliation and suffering she faces in just one episode are heart-wrenching. She defies her father to be with her husband, but he proves to be weak and betrays her. I’m eagerly anticipating her revenge!
This is how our nonchalant queen expresses her undying love.
"You'll probably reading this while i'm in surgery. If I fail to wake up, then this could be my will. I won't ask you to mourn me in 3 years like in the past. But i'd like you to miss me throughout the 4 seasons and call out to me when you're drunk. But after that forget about me and live your life. Fall in love passionately, get married and have a family of your own. I promise not to be jealous.
As for my assets, spend them how you deem fit. Thinking that i might die is making me rush. Could I go to heaven if I hurriedly did some good deeds? That way I can meet you again. Just thinking about this makes me sad.
But..but if the surgery is a success, but i forget who you are? What if I treat you like a stranger? Or even worse, what if i mistreat you? what if you can't take it anymore and get sick of me? What should I do then?
Even if that happens, don't get sick of me. Don't get exhausted. Keep loving me.
My ideal type will never change, so i'll fall for you again. Please be patient until then. And when I finally remember you, let's get married again."
