Their relationship starts with clashes and misunderstandings but eventually grows into a partnership and romance.

One thing I liked about this show is its pacing. There are no unnecessary episodes; every part of the story feels important. The fight scenes are exciting and well-shot, and the acting is great, especially from the leads. Even the secondary male characters, though annoying at times, give strong performances. The opening song is also very good and matches the tone of the show.

Now, let’s talk about the characters. Li Ni is a capable and noble character, but I feel like he avoids responsibility too much. He doesn’t want to fight for the Crown Prince position and prefers to stay out of royal politics. While that might seem honorable, it also feels like he is running away from his duties. The Cui family saw him as someone who could bring justice and strength to the kingdom, but his reluctance to act gave his enemies opportunities to strike. His refusal to see the danger in his own family led to the deaths of his soldiers, which could have been avoided if he had taken a stronger stand earlier.

Cui Lin, on the other hand, is a character who grows on you. At first, she seems cold and willing to do anything to complete her mission. But as the story goes on, you see that she’s a survivor, shaped by growing up in a military family that valued men over women. She works twice as hard to prove herself and doesn’t trust people easily. Some viewers think she’s unworthy of Li Ni because of her scheming ways in the beginning, but I think she’s much more realistic. She doesn’t rush into trusting or loving someone, but once she does, she’s all in. A great moment for her is when her father is poisoned, and she defends Li Ni from accusations even against her own people. This shows her fairness and loyalty, which some viewers overlook.

The biggest weakness of the show is the lack of a strong villain. Li Ni is written as such a powerful character that the enemies don’t feel like a real challenge. It makes some conflicts feel too easy and predictable. There are also some repetitive scenes, which can make parts of the story drag.

Overall, Wonderland of Love is a good drama with solid pacing, great performances, and strong action.

Bai Ping Ting is a brilliant strategist, cold and aloof, with the ability to memorize entire books in a short period, suggesting a photographic memory. She’s physically weak but mentally strong, using her intelligence to outmaneuver enemies. Her loyalty to her country, the Yan State, often puts her in a difficult position, torn between her duty and her love for Chu Bei Ji. She’s a peace advocate stuck in the middle of war, often finding herself at odds with the world around her.

Chu Bei Ji, on the other hand, is the God of War—a physically and mentally strong general and prince of Jin State. He is affectionate but also manipulative, torn between his loyalty to his country and his love for Bai Ping Ting. Their relationship is intense, as they start off on opposing sides—he’s a general and she’s a strategist—but it evolves into something more complicated. At first, Chu Bei Ji forces Bai Ping Ting to marry him, even though she despises him and his country. As the story progresses, they begin to respect and trust each other. Together, they become an unstoppable force. While Chu Bei Ji is skilled in martial arts, Bai Ping Ting fights with her intellect, often using her strategic mind to defeat massive armies—sometimes even managing to outwit 100,000 soldiers. Their combined powers make them nearly unbeatable.

Despite some ups and downs throughout the series, the chemistry between Bai Ping Ting and Chu Bei Ji is one of its strongest points, with tension in every scene and an undeniable connection. The intimacy between them is sizzling, making their moments together even more intense. However, the plot does get repetitive at times, especially with the numerous schemes, which caused me to skip through some scenes.

Another key character is He Xia, Bai Ping Ting’s childhood sweetheart who eventually turns into a villain. His thirst for revenge is understandable, as his family was used as collateral to end a war, but his actions go too far, even leading him to kill innocent people in pursuit of revenge. He becomes a fallen hero, but the actor who played him did an incredible job, rivaling the performances of both Wallace Chung and Angelababy.

The series does have some drawbacks. Bai Ping Ting’s loyalty to her beliefs often makes her prejudiced, and she doesn’t always see the bigger picture or recognize the true enemy. Additionally, Chu Bei Ji’s repeated forceful behavior toward her can be off-putting, especially in the early episodes.

In terms of acting, Wallace Chung is fantastic. His performances are solid, with great expressions that fit his character perfectly. However, Angelababy’s portrayal of Bai Ping Ting, though solid in some aspects, could have been better. Her expressions tend to be too limited and stoic, almost all the same, which can make her character feel less dynamic than the script intends.

The music in the series is another highlight, enhancing the emotional moments. While I probably wouldn’t rewatch the entire series, General and I stands out as one of those rare dramas that showcases a strong male lead and a highly intelligent female lead.

One of the Best Filipino Revenge Dramas!

This is one of the best revenge series I’ve ever watched. Every episode is a gem—there’s no filler, and the pacing is fantastic, especially for a series with 257 episodes. The storytelling is captivating, with well-developed characters and a plot that keeps you invested from start to finish. Maja Salvador delivers one of her best performances here, making it one of my favorite dramas of hers.

The plot might not be entirely new, but the execution and character depth make it fresh and engaging. The story revolves around Lily Cruz, a loving and obedient daughter whose family just wants a peaceful life. They move to Poblacion Ardiente, a place ruled by the powerful and corrupt Ardiente family, who will do anything to maintain their control. Lily’s father is killed, her mother is brutally attacked and presumed dead, and Lily herself barely escapes death. Rescued by a wealthy woman, she’s adopted and returns with a new identity—now known as Ivy Aguas, she seeks revenge on those who wronged her family.

The cast is packed with veteran actors, and the performances are exceptional. The Ardientes, as antagonists, will make your blood boil, and Maja as Ivy is simply outstanding. The confrontations between Ivy and Emilia, as well as scenes with Natalie, another antagonist who’s impossible to ignore, are always intense and incredibly well-acted. Every time they’re on screen, you know something explosive is about to happen. I wish more Filipino series would adopt this level of storytelling and depth in drama.

"Reset" is a thrilling Chinese mystery series that dives into the wild concept of time loops. If you liked "The Final Destination," you’ll definitely find some cool similarities here, but this show has its own unique flair. The story follows Li Shi Qing, a college student who finds herself in a serious mess when her bus explodes. Every time she dies, she wakes up on that same day. At first, she thinks it’s just a weird dream, but soon she realizes she’s caught in a time loop and needs to figure out how to break free.

Things get interesting when she manages to frame a fellow passenger, Xiao He Yun, as a pervert, which lets them both escape the bus. By pulling him into her chaotic situation, she inadvertently brings him into the time loop as well. But the drama doesn't stop there—Xiao gets seriously hurt in the explosion anyway! Li Shi Qing struggles to explain everything to some skeptical police officers, and it’s a real rollercoaster ride as she tries to make sense of it all.

The acting is top-notch! Zhao Jinmai as Li Shi Qing totally nails those emotional scenes, and you can really feel what she’s going through. Bai Jing Ting, playing Xiao He Yun, has some powerful moments too, especially when he confronts the situation. Their chemistry is great, even though it’s not a romance.

The show is packed with clever little details that become important later, and the music—especially the opening—really sets the mood. It is a must-watch if you're into mystery thrillers. You’ll be hooked from start to finish!

But, gotta be real, the ending kind of drops the ball. It's like the writers lost their way or something. Leaves you feeling a bit unsatisfied, like they could've done better.

IU’s Best Performance So Far!

I definitely watched this series for IU, and I didn’t expect her to portray someone as cold and cruel as Jang Man Wol. She does an amazing job with this character. The storyline itself is quite unique, with her being the owner of Hotel Del Luna—a place where souls linger before moving on to the afterlife. The idea of allowing them to experience what they couldn’t while alive is such a brilliant concept by the writer.

I loved how layered and tragic Jang Man Wol’s character is. Her past, full of sorrow and bad choices, ultimately leads to her being cursed and trapped in the hotel. IU’s performance as this character was something I didn’t expect to like so much, especially since I’ve only seen her in lighter dramas, except for My Mister, which was more serious.

As for Goo Chan Sung, the male lead, I wasn’t immediately drawn to his character. He comes from a poor background, but I didn’t find him particularly interesting at first. I initially thought he might be the reincarnation of Go Chung Myung, but I was surprised to learn he’s a different character. That could’ve been an interesting twist, but I understand why the writer chose not to go that route, as it would have been too cliché. Despite finding his character a bit dull, I recognize that he’s a good actor.

The chemistry between IU and Yeo Jin Go is there, but it didn’t quite resonate with me. It would’ve been more intriguing if Chung Myung had been the lead, given their 1,000-year-old love-hate history. I knew Chan Sung met Man Wol in a past life, but it felt a bit forced, like the writers were trying too hard to make it feel like fate. Still, overall, the series was good and definitely worth rewatching.

I enjoyed the mix of heavy drama with comedy, and the music was fantastic. My favorite tracks are Taeyeon’s "All About You" and Punch’s "Done For Me."

I never thought I’d be writing a review, but I need to vent about the ending—it was so infuriating! After seeing all the characters grow and develop, it felt like a total betrayal to have them all get taken out by a psycho obsessed with CSAT. Part 1 started off so strong, and now I’m just confused about why the writers went such a dark route.

I heard that in the novel, a lot of students survived, but in the series, only four made it out alive. I’m relieved that my two favorite characters made it, but it was totally unexpected and left me feeling mixed about everything.
