I would say it is not a BL series but more a series about BL. So we do not know where this is going. I cannot see into the future neither. I guess, however, there will be a lot of happy endings for all: grandpa, the orphans and probably also for Guy... I am rather scared that there might be too many tropes and stereotypes about BL...
I think it is more that BL is a theme or plot device in this series. It is obviously about someone writing about BL. We will, therefore, have some scenes. And the grandson and his school friend are already building a ship. However, it is probably a sub plot, not the main focus. So far I enjoy it. Someone above remarked, it is similar to Absolute Value of Romance, and I agree (not all, but in general regarding the BL as a topic).
When I think of it now, watching ep 10: the concept of housing all contestants in three different buildings with stairways and long pathways in between, in winter, isn't the best concept. It prevents natural communication. In the other seasons all lived under one roof and could easily interact. Someone mentioned below in a comment we had not seen so much of Hyun Jun and Son Wook, but I think it is because of this (and the fact that HU is not very talkative).
It really would be better to have all in one building.
By the way, does Su Min not only sleep alone but is alone in a whole building?
I am too practical for this world. WTF would you start fighting with your father before eating that fav dish, the stir fried crab. God, everyone knows you eat first, then break up with your family. I do that every Xmas.
I am watching slowly. Just finished ep 3. Not sure, but the vibe is different. I found the ending minutes of ep 2 nearly depressive. They were sitting in the living room on the sofa. William and Izaya were talking together, quite closely. And one metre away was Bomi, sitting alone and looking quite sad. The others also looked like they are a bit pi###ed. Not sure if that is a good idea to get some old acquaintances/ exes into the series? Somehow the life in the first season seemed to be more lively.
