wow, this drama insists on making the FL wrong. When she's literally trying her best to do things the right way…
IDK why this point isn't acknowledged by the show.

By pushing for an experiment that is not producing effective results you are breaching how all of science works. In order for anything to move from hypothesis to theory, (observation to law) an experiment needs to be repeatable. There is no way that only Miss Su's team will be doing the experiment, thus her plan is inherently flawed. It depends on the off chance that she can fix it to produce the results she wants. However, what if continued failure is due to her desired result being impossible? Then she would be the one wasting everyone's time. She has effectively diverted attention from other possibilities. So many experiments fail, what gave her confidence that this one won't ultimately do the same?

Also, Miss Su would eventually have to provide a reason as to why her experiment worked and Mr. Sun's failed, and in a lab of highly trained /educated scientists methodology won't last long as a cause. Let's say the addition of an enzyme caused success, then questions would arise as to why she didn't disclose this initially/ why it wasn't in her report. The show says that they would send the experiment to the main office, ultimately they would have the same issues as Mr. Sun when repeating the experiment. Then question how Miss Su accomplished her success in the first place. Theoretically, her "successful" lab report should compare and contrast her experiment to Mr. Suns' and analyze the reasons for Mr. Sun's failure.

There are many more reasons as to why Miss Su and Wei Wei are wrong but I don't have all the time in the world. This just displays how little knowledge the writers have about the scientific process. Miss Su's reasoning, as our FL puts it is childish and just plain wrong. Anyone in science can spot the flaws from a mile away. They could have used anything to give our FL flaws but this just does not work. What she did was right. The point of repeating experiments with different people is the catch flaws and perfect the process.

wow, this drama insists on making the FL wrong. When she's literally trying her best to do things the right way and I don't appreciate how the ML keeps chastising her for it. I'm currently on episode four and I am offering a rebuttal for Miss Sun's argument that falsifying data is alright if a cure comes out faster.

Title Cry Me a River of Stars Spoiler
A MAJOR PLOT HOLE FOUND IN EP 6
In this episode, the FL hits the big rock and faints. Which would imply that she couldn't see well (Water at night has zero visibility). Then the ML shouldn't be able to see either. AGAIN WATER AT NIGHT HAS ZERO VISIBILITY! IDK why it's so bright under there.

ALSO, if the ML could do the pokey thingy to make a person cry the whole time, why not use it on her from the very beginning when she couldn't cry??? Why doesn't everyone use it??

ALSO, (wow, this show is badly written) why are her tears still blue in the first place? Earlier in the episode, the ML says that the blue tears are based on Azurelander's diet/ lifestyle. Well, most of them now live in Midland. The FL has been in Midland since childhood. So it's safe to say she and the other Azurelanders don't have access to whatever food was making their tears blue. In this case, then it shouldn't be genetic.

Also, the ML knew immediately how to block her tear ducts, so it's probably a martial arts skill.
Thus Azurelanders should realistically also have access to this skill. So why don't they use it? Why walk around with an easily exposable weakness???

This whole story falls apart really easily. Come on! Most of these issues can be solved with a little more effort on the writer's part. I know they could have done better.

Essentially for me toxicity comes from lies and imbalances of power. All the shows I've chosen, goodbye my princess, tempted and well-intended love all started out with lies that hurt the FL. Some of them were straight up disgusting. Looking at you well intended love and Goodbye my princess.

Wanted more about what was going on in Jaeon's head. Literally at the end of the last episode Nabi asked the question I was dying to know. "What do you want from me." And Jaeon still didn't answer. So yeah, I'm still abit confused 🤔. His character shift wasn't well developed to me.

Also can we talk about how infuriatingly good Song Kang is in this role? Nabi will call him out on his bullshit and Jaeons face will look so innocent it's almost like he's the one in the right. He did a really good job at illustrating how subtle manipulation can be.

I came here right after watching season one and can I say I really dislike MLC here?
Who pursues a person like that? If I had any interaction with him (modern times) I'd call the cops ASAP.

Also why doesn't he just tell her that there's two of them? He's really putting her in danger with this lack of information. And it's quite fustrating to watch her being confused on how he treats her.

JUST TELL HER THERES TWO OF YOU INSTEAD OF SENDING CRYPTIC MESSAGES TO HER SAYING "NOT TO FLIRT WITH ANY MEN"

gosh if this goes on for much longer I'm going to have to drop the show. At least the set and costumes are better this season.

I will not accept any Xuan Ji slander. She did her best in a very difficult situation. Battling sexism, demons, and the narcissistic Bailing Dijuin is tough. On top of that your boyfriend suddenly turns into a world destroying demon come on. Give her a break. She had very real reactions.

I love Si Feng but he could have avoided a lot of heartbreak by, I don't know, telling his girlfriend his plan??? Trust goes both ways guys ( ie: her willing to go against her sect for him on the island). Don't forget that he also payed a big role in the misunderstandings arc

Lao Han and Solo just needed to smash. They're so clearly inlove with each other lol.

But other wise, I have to say this is the best modern Chinese drama I've seen. I was actually able to complete it and want more (OMG that never happens). It's probably because I love Yang Zi so much. I melted every time Lao Han smirked. It looks so good on him.

Cao Guang / Wei Guang is a raging misogynist who needs therapy. He clearly hates women. Any chance he had to be a love interest for Weiwei went out the window when she had to prove herself to him. (who she dates is none of his business!)

Also, let's talk about how he later felt entitled to her romantic feelings and got mad when she
(A GROWN ASS WOMAN) started dating a guy she told him she liked??? Come on he literally called her a whore in front of the whole school. Then reverts to thinking the worst of her and victimizing himself when she won't date him. OVER A GAME?? COME ON!!!

Giving me very much nice guys finish last, very much pretty women are whores for wanting a man that's attractive/ successful / isn't me.

Oh and that little revenge plan he has is indicative of some more issues he has to work through. I hate how the show acknowledges this but then pairs him up with Weiwei's friend both inside and outside the game. She definitely doesn't deserve a man who thinks women are objects.

I recently rewatched this show and noticed this and couldn't help fuming about it. Misogyny isn't sexy.
