the one tear that lee jong suk had while giving the goodbye kiss to lee bo young finally letting her know of his feelings left a deep impression on me.
but you get a hint of it between daichi and the new worker in one of the latter episodes. there are scenes where he gazes at her. i think it is left to our imagination.
for those who are wondering, the real ending takes place in todome no parallel ep 10. it is set 1 yr after the main ending. its on hulu but yamazki-kento.com is subbing, so we can only wait.
I agree but it is the fact that tv ratings will never be like those during the 90s, the internet ensured that.…
i am not saying he is not. his roles in mare and rikuo gained him a lot of popularity among a wider audience. it is just he needs a breakthrough role to cement himself. and for that he has to work hard because as you said tv ratings wont be as high as it was in the 90's and early 00's but tv ratings are important to measure the success of the show for the people involved.
yamazaki kento and all the upcoming stars have to work very hard to make a mark in the Japanese industry, if they want to reach the level of stardom that kimura, yamapi or matsujun enjoy. Even though this show is very good, the ratings in japan are nowhere near what it deserves. Only the big stars like kitamura's and matsujun's shows are getting the high ratings. yamazaki kento needs a breakthrough role like kimura's in long vacation and matsujun's in hana yori dango to make all of Japan notice him
Recent romance jdramas lack something compared to dramas from the late 90's and the early 00's. Jdramas have certainly improved a lot in workplace, thrillers, mysteries, family dramas, etc but there is just something about the romantic ones that doesnt match up to the previous gen.
it is good and not so good. but it is entertaining. but the big plot twist is coming up. we will probably see a character change in the male lead in the upcoming eps
We are getting webtoon adaptation of Shall we have dinner tonight? right, I did read somewhere that female lead was offered to park bo young. The one i want to see adapted most is back to the highteen. the story is very interesting and comical. 28 yr old female lead who is a tutor has to impersonate her student for the final year at school.
I still have unanswered question....I'm fine with the hanging ending... but I don't understand why he can't be…
Probably because they promised to go together to Beijing and he didnt keep his end of the promise. Also he did go to look for once in Beijing and he saw her skating with some other guy, so he thought its over between them. And after 10 yrs he still has a lot of problems like parents illness and also he still has to complete his phd. He was just in a very low life state and he thought he would just make her unhappy if they get together but he got over it in the end as she says she would wait even 10 more years for him if need be.
This one is a gem. It portrays high school in a realistic way especially for students in the whole of asia. Unlike Europe and America, students in Asia dont really get into relationships that often in high school, as they focus a lot on the entrance exam which was very accurate in this drama. Japan and Korea did dramas like these 15 yrs back. But this one is probably one of the best. One thing i wanted to point out that the female lead is 7 yrs elder to the male lead in real life but i didnt even know it till i finished the drama. Gotta give props to the male lead. He was 17/18 yrs old at the time of filming. For that age he is a phenomenal actor. Probably the best in his gen in china. He is also the male lead for nirvana in fire 2 and that is like one biggest dramas in china, so he is pretty popular there. Also he has been cast as the male lead in novoland: eagle flag which has the highest budget of any drama being produced from china ( around 75mil USD for 56 eps).
ok This is seriously good. This show reminds me of the early episodes of w-two worlds. Every episode is exciting and you cant take your eyes off the screen. This is definitely the best show airing right now.
