I just logged on to say this!! I’m on episode 9 and she is starting to really irk me. She keeps apologizing…
Exactly! You’re definitely not alone, the FL’s first impression was so good then it just went downhill. She kind of get less annoying like after 15 eps for me but only by a margin
So far I’m on episode 5 and overall enjoying it. Love the comedy between the cafe minamdang crew. However the FL is getting on my nerves. I had high expectations and had a pretty good first impression of her but the more eps you watch her character deteriorates from a cool, powerful FL to one that’s driven by assumptions and her emotions getting the better of her. SIG is the main reason I’m even watching this ngl. I already have suspicions on who the villain is too so this makes the show kinda easy to watch since there’s not a lot of thinking and guessing. I think 18 eps is a bit much. 12-16 eps would probably have been better. It does feel a bit draggy at times but we’ll see how it goes.
I actually stopped watching after episode 1. It didn't hook me and I just couldn't focus on what was going on. Gave it another go after some time and I must say, it gets better starting ep 2. The plot starts to get going and we start to see where the case is going. Fairly detailed cases and although the different terms and legislations mentioned throughout the drama confused me, that's just due to me not being familiar with the field law. The episodes pique your interest enough to watch the next eps and find out how did what.
The movie itself was good. At first I didn't really get the flow of the plot but as you keep watching it, it gets more interesting. Rather than comedy, which was what I was expecting, this movie doesn't really focus on that but rather human nature and social interactions. Would definitely recommend but watch it as a blank canvas. Rather than expect certain genres, watch it with a clean perspective.
After scrolling through comments, there really wasn’t anything about how GTY already had a mistress and 2 kids before marrying SML....... Had to find out after a few episodes LOOOL. This literally almost made me drop the drama lmao.
Anyways I've finally finished watching this drama and it has been brilliant; I definitely recommend this drama. The acting was amazing and I feel that the characters were portrayed so well. I've not read the novel myself but I have read the synopsis of the novel and Minglan's personality was well carried out by Zanilia Zhao. I must admit that when I first tried watching this drama, I dropped it after episode1. However, I got back into it and it and I got hooked. First few episodes are the characters' childhood, but be patient and soon the adult versions will come into play. I must say tho that around the middle of the drama some scenes got too draggy for me and also the schemes of those around the main characters got a bit repetitive. Some characters annoyed me so much I was even surprised I managed to finish this drama to the end. However, as you get past the middle part, it all gets interesting again. So definitely stick with it. The ending, although happy, could have been better. It was a satisfying ending but I feel it would have been better if they added scenes of what their future is like and also what Rong'er (their eldest daughter) would be like with her step-siblings (the ending hinted that Minglan was pregnant again uwu). All in all, it was a very good drama and I literally didn't expect to have enjoyed it so much. Definitely give it a go.
This drama started off really well but after a while it started to go downhill for me. I really wanted to complete watching this drama but ended up putting it on hold.... Some characters started to get really annoying smh. The only character I've become very fond of so far is Ningjing cuz of her playful and tomboyish personality uwu... but the rest.... ugh. Even Yun Xi started to irritate me a bit TT-TT.......and Mingxiang just got on my nerves ever since her appearance smh. I'll try to get back into it again at some point in the future and see if I like it again but for now a break is needed...
Overall really good drama, but was disappointed at the lack of kiss scenes loooooool. If it wasn't for the previous comment regarding the deleted kiss scenes I wouldn't have even known there were any kiss scenes AT ALL.
Started this drama with only an interest for the plot. Did not expect to completely fall in love with it after just a few episodes. The last few episodes when we see more of Rong Qi definitely hit me hard, he's not the main male lead but boi his character plot really got me sobbing. Prepare a few tissues at this point. The initial episodes of the drama will definitely hook you with all the mysteries and suspense. However, the middle part, say about 2/3 of the way into the drama, did drag for me. The plot started to go off the initial storyline, for instance, Ya Li's love plot. This part of the story made it frustrating to watch as it wasn't directly relevant to the plot and instead of finding out the history/relationship between characters, it lengthened the wait to find out the overall truth behind the mysteries. However, definitely stick to it till the end. As you get to the last few episodes, everything is explained and the truth behind Man Yao/Rong Le's past is revealed, which was done beautifully. The ending was done well too, a happy ending for the main couple and one of the side couple pair. Definitely give this a try. It's not too heavy but not too light of a watch either. All actors/actresses portrayed their characters very well. Costume designs are beautiful and you'll never get tired of listening to the OST.
