The special episode was good and I tried getting into this series because of it but every time I watch an episode I end up just skimming through the whole thing. I don't know why but I just can't get into this, so I'm unfortunately dropping this
wrote this when i was sleep deprived now that i slept already im dropping it again but now it's different
I associate Vegas with snakes because of the green lighting, his personality, facial features and so far we’ve only seen him in fancy looking long sleeved shirts with patterns similar to ones of a snake, where his neck and chest are always showing(it reminded me of a cobra's hood), we see him in this whenever back he was in the city, this makes him look intimidating but when he becomes vulnerable and shows how he genuinely feels we see him in plain t-shirts or comfortable clothing, this could mean that he’s finally feeling a bit of freedom from the judging eyes of his father or that he’s at ease around Pete. This change in the way he dresses could also symbolize that he’s shedding the skin that made him look intimidating, he is acknowledging the things pete made him realise, showing that he’s not tough and dominant all the time and that it wasn’t his fault that he feels like a failure but it’s because of his father and him possibly wanting to start a-new.
Now with the lighting surrounding Vegas and Pete, at the start when they didn’t have proper conversations yet, the lighting was always green and red and if not, they are surrounded by the colors ex.:(Vegas in a velvety red shirt while walking Porsche,Pete, and Arm around his house where everything is mostly green) both of which are opposites from each other in the color wheel. They probably thought the same of each other, they saw each other as opposites,in opposite sides in this feud, but in the scenes where Pete was injured and both talking about their shared trauma, the lighting has changed, there were still hues of green and red but now it is being overpowered by an orange-y yellow light this could symbolize that they’re shedding light on the feelings that they kept hidden for so long and are finally starting to see each other as they realize that their perception of the other person is different from who they thought they were.
Now the preview for the next episode; Vegas and Pete are now shown in a purple/pink and blue lighting and these colors are right next to each other in the color wheel, this could mean that they now understand each other and consider themselves as acquaintances, saw that they are both similar and Vegas possibly finding comfort in Pete. But since the next episode hasn’t been released yet I don’t really know what happens before that scenario and these are just my assumptions. I’ve emptied my brain now bye lol
for me the saddest part of Vegas' character is that his morals are clouded by the desperation of wanting his father's love and approval i imagine how hepless it can feel when you're just doing what they want you to do but it's never enough to make them satisfied
