In the scene at the beginning of ep 35 I really liked how Granny Wei and the Duke looked at YN and SY walking out of the room side by side, on equal footing, it was like they were watching their future unfolding. That is going to be their life together, and they were giving them their blessing.

Obviously I also liked how the Duke was swooning over his future son in law like everybody else XD
Had Granny Wei already sniffed something fishy going on between them? She doesn't seem particularly surprised. She's always one step ahead when it comes to reading people.
Ahhhhhhh this is why we needed more episodes, the Wei family is great, I wanted to watch more of them.
Instead we have to see Wang Yuan playing with crickets, and LJX being his usual delusional, creepy self in all matters. 🙄
When he asked YN to tell him what she wants I was hoping that she would tell him to launch himself off Mount Everest...

Hope it will get even more recognition. These writers, and the cast have set the bar high.
I want ten more episodes with just them, their babies, and the the Duke XD

I'm so sad that this show is ending tomorrow, I could have watched many more episodes.
To think that until it aired, and Marcus talked about it, it had completely fallen off my radar.
And even then I only checked it out because of the poster, I know I'm that shallow😂 (even if it's nothing particularly original, I love both the composition and the palette, it called to me).

I wish to thank everybody, it's been so much fun reading your posts, and exchanging opinions.

After that he will be able to force himself on YN without anybody possibly be able to oppose him.

I think she's also scared of her men's reaction. She knows what is going bts in the court, and since LJX is still a powerful man, supported by an even more powerful man (Minister Wang Yuan), she doesn't want SY and her father to openly go against LJX, which would put their life in danger.

No to mention those who get just exiled, or even pardoned after a totally unconvincing redemption arc...
These chinese scriptwriters love to torture the good guys, and us along with them.
I have been traumatized by watching Cheng Yi, the king of spitting blood, and RJL always dying miserably, at least in the few dramas I watched with him. In Forever and Ever he doesn't get unjustly murdered, but in return he is emotionally tortured plenty of times.😅

So in the next two episodes we will have all the political drama, then we'll still have to stomach LJX's crazy behaviour (faking YN's death and kidnapping her).
We deserve at least 3/4 episodes of cuteness between the leads, before the birth of their baby, will they be able to wrap all the other plots within ep 36 (37 at most)?
Or do we have to bear with LJX's madness until the very last minute?

Think of Ren Jia Lun' characters (he is a master of painful deaths, lol) death by a thousand cuts in One and Only, burnt alive in Love of Nirvana. Did his characters deserve such deaths? Not at all.
So LJX should at least suffer a worse fate of those two combined.
Something like drawing and quartering for example...

He's digging his own grave because of his obsession for a woman who does NOT reciprocate his feelings, and has made it clear plenty of times both verbally and with her physical reactions.
He's so arrogant and delusional that he doesn't even realize that he's doing exactly what LSY wants him to do. He was waiting for him and WY to have some sort of strife.
He's literally dancing in the palm of LSY's hands without even realizing it.

While it seems that LSY has began staging his better performace yet. Now we know why he asked YN if she would still believe in him if the whole world would start thinking of him as a bad guy.
Ep 34-35 will be painful to watch I assume. 😢

I might actually hate Cheng Lang more than LJX, he reminds me of Wormtongue, but worse since he's whispering in Sauron's ears here. 😂
