I understand why it feels dated to you and many others, but I feel it’s realistic and a coming of age drama…
The slow-burn romance really starts in the second half. The first eight episodes focus mainly on the SOTUS system, and from episode nine onward, the romance takes center stage because the SOTUS system finally ends and both characters have to figure out their relationship. I understand this might not be for you and you may not enjoy it, and maybe the second season won’t be for you either. But I’d still suggest giving this one more try and watching the remaining episodes. It may not completely work for you, but it might , i hope ease some of your grievances by the end.
A honest comment from someone who is watching this for the 1st time in 2025. This drama didn't age well. Back…
I understand why it feels dated to you and many others, but I feel it’s realistic and a coming of age drama in terms of how Thai university hazing culture was at that time. Its harsh depiction was dramatized, but that kind of bullying did exist.
It’s true that the side couples were neglected and the SOTUS system was the main focus, but the second half does show a slow-burn romance as they figure out how to be together. It also shows Kongpob standing up against hazing, and toward the end, we see him become part of the system to bring about change. Usually, people watch only the first few episodes, get turned away by the bullying, and judge the series without continuing. But if you do continue by the end, you see Arthit didnt even wanted to be hazer in first place and was just following the system that everyone went along with. The series also shows how each generation handled hazing and how, over time, things gradually got better.
Also the romance was always there, just subtle, along with the stigma of being gay, the hesitation, and the uncertainty handled differently, not like a 2026 series. That’s probably why it might not feel like the main focus. but I still enjoy rewatching it and I do understand your perspective but i disagree it being called overhyped.
Yes its good but dont judge by the first episode itself, keep watching till episode 3-4 to decide and also its old series, might feel different in terms of how bl are today.
I miss Krist & Singto so much! I hope they will have a new series in 2026. I miss the comment section too…
Same, I miss them too coz its so silent nowadays. I hope we get a good storyline for them in 2026. And also they get to explore something they never did before, variety will be fine too.. but something from them is needed in this drought.
The hospital scene felt so real, like why did i find krist genuinely flustered and glad we got traditional wedding, those wedding dress and asthetics were pleasing. Story was fine but i guess i wanted more intense romance then fluff. Anyways Hoping for a new series for kristsingto in more better and solid plot with thriling settings like detective
This was a good watch, but still more interesting in the beginning than towards the end. However, it was a nice…
I think the chemistry you didn’t feel might be because of storyline, we saw intense romantic tensions in sotus, here it was pretty mild though i feel their offscreen chemistry is superior.
absolutely! talking about personal preferences, I would love to see them in a historic piece or a 80's dark fantasy...…
Yes, this is it. I need them in dark characters, and thrilling storylines than fluff, like historical angsty setting, high drama and fantasy, cops, detectives, horror, supernatural, medical, sports, antagonistic and red flag roles, more complex and tight challenging plot settings, more better their acting will flesh out.
Kristsingto always delivers but I want their next series to be intense though, coz both are really fine, capable actors and this story is good fluff and light but something is missing and hollow, its a personal preference but I want them to take really challenging roles with high emotional value and journey.
Oh oh oh, just got novel spoilers Warning; novel spoilers aheadApparently the station only had one anchor position…
Almost got spoiled again, The way i shut my eye off immediately knowing its spoiler for the reason, I do wanna know and there is novel summary on youtube and spoiler are shared too, its taking a lot of self- control not to look at it so that i will be able to enjoy and keep guessing what might be the reason but damn its so difficult 🥲
Am I the only one who finds it confusing to distinguish between the present timeline and flashbacks in this drama?
The starting of the episode is always with flashback while grey fading along with the hairstyles and mannerisms are different, so this might help in distinguishing.
It's funny how we're all having theories for the reason Tam left Phi, and waiting for it to be a damn good reason…
Exactly what I feel, people are coming with all sorts of theories but no reason is going to make it justifiable. What tam did will be wrong and it would be disappointing yet understandable because humans are flawed and they act on their own perspective and emotions. Such miscommunication do happen in relationships so it would be realistic if you hurt your partner in fights. I only hope their is no cheating angle coz then it goes way toxic which I think is not happening here.
Sotus was among my first Thai BL, and gosh I loved it so much, all those flirting and slow burn trope. So after waiting nearly a year following the pilot trailer, it was all worth it. The first episode was entertaining, I’ve followed and loved both of them in their individual works, Singto in He's Coming to Me, Jenny AM/PM, Paint with Love, and Krist in Be My Favorite and The Jungle. Seeing them together again feels like a dream come true. I hope this goes well after first episode but even if the storyline doesn’t turn out good , I’d still enjoy it for my favorite pair coming together after so long.
My favorites coming back with experience, I am so excited and the plot being made for them 😍 I hope this goes well for them and they are able to evoke the emotions and feels like at the time of sotus.
As someone who been a fan of them since 2015 and knew the entire story:At this point, they are the ones who need…
Oh, it’s really sad. I also saw that YouTube video about Krist, but I didn’t judge him or anyone immediately, because the pressure on BL actors is insane. They’re expected to be perfect and meet every fan’s expectations. Every word and move is over-analyzed, and the fanservice or shipping culture often damages their genuine bonds due to constant scrutiny.
Fans really need to stop speculating about why their favorite CPs don’t sit together, hang out, or why they say they’re not gay or have girlfriends—it’s their life. Fans can have their delusions, but we shouldn’t hate someone for being honest. Personally, I do ship some kristsingto, but it’s because of the bond and chemistry they share on and off screen while entertaining us.
I’ve always believed Krist and Singto are good people who were simply misunderstood. They’ve apologized, matured, and grown over time. Sadly, many on social media are still stuck in the past, unaware of how much they've changed. It’s easy to misinterpret things online, cancel culture thrives on half-truths.
That’s why I appreciate how the comeback series includes a cancel culture storyline. It shows different perspectives and the importance of second chances. People make mistakes, and they grow. Krist looked genuinely happy when Singto returned he literally beaming. It’s clear they share a strong bond, but their personal lives are theirs. They don’t owe explanations to anyone.
It’s important to distinguish between fanservice done for work and the honest, real-life connection they’ve openly spoken about not necessarily pairing for fanservice, but deeply respectful and close.
