Didn't like this one at all. Maybe it is because I am American? I could not relate to the FL at all. Why would she let an old incident ruin her life? She was giving the bully power. I guess she had too much pride? Just don't get why she was a b!$c% to everyone.
I love both the k-version and Chinese version!Have you seen the latest thai version of BOF?
I haven't seen the Thailand one yet. If it's not on Netflix I won't have seen it. I am looking into ways to watch the other versions that have English subtitles.
Just finished watching this and I must say I am a bit disappointed. I watched the Korean BOF first, and I can't help but compare the two. I was so enamored by BOF that I was excited to see anything and everything else I could on the subject. Maybe I should have read the manga first... BOF was filled with such deep symbolism and showed the pain that comes with love, that is what I really liked about it. But Meteor Garden removed most of that and made it somewhat simplistic and childish. I hardly felt her love for Si or Lei at all. Also, there were many things that were important that were briefly mentioned but glossed over. The writers just expected you to know what they were talking about. Luckily, I'd seen BOF and did know, but any first-time viewers could have been confused. Only thing I did like better is that Shancai was actually cute. The girl in BOF was kinda annoying.
