Title True Beauty
Thanks for your open mindedness. Someone even said the writer is a sell out because she agreed to the changes…
I have a completely different opinion from those people.. I did read the webtoon (and am still reading it) but I think it's actually an improvement to the webtoon. They actually kept a lot of the storyline the same so I don't really understand the complaints anyway. But I agree, like you said, they are defining the characters differently but it's not a bad thing.

I'm posting a premature review/comment here even though I am only halfway through the drama and so may update it later. However, I wanted to reveal how much I am enjoying this drama. I will accept it doesn't bring anything new to the table it is what it says on the tin; a rom/com with a love triangle and twists and turns along the way to keep it interesting. What really made me love the drama is how it strayed away from the webtoon and created its' own identity as a kdrama. Characters like Soojin and Jugyeong's sister, Heekyung, are defining strong female characters. The relationships between the characters are always developing. It's also super funny and entertaining!

I have to say I didn't enjoy season 1 much and so wasn't going to bother watching season 2 but after giving it a try, I really loved it more than season 1. Season 1 seemed more like the setting before the action and plot really thickened in season 2. No spoilers here but there was a lot more insight into the zombies as well as a political plotline that has consequences for a lot of the characters we were introduced to in season 1. This drama is driven by a good plot and that is why it has been very successful globally. Looking forward to what they bring in season 3.

I think the premise of the show was interesting. To show a number of adults who are coordinating love in their lives and I would like to praise the show for not shying away from sexual relationships. However, I found that I began losing interest in the show and this is largely due to the fact that their stories have no significant plot. I would have liked to see strong characters who have diverse experiences and diverse relationship problems that they are trying to navigate. The most similar premise I can think of in kdrama world is Age of Youth which really made me feel passionately about the characters but this drama failed to do this. Of course, we are only on episode 4 and I hope I change my mind as I continue watching but it is not interesting to me yet.

i would have liked to see how dots would be interpreted as a pakistani drama tbh a lot of dramas focus on relations between people and daily dramas but it would have been interesting to see an action packed drama oh well part of that mv looked exactly like the first ep of dots anyway lol

this is definitely worth a watch i know sm dramas get a bad rap which is why this might not have done as well? but it ended up being really good and real in a lot of ways. The thing that hit me the most is that it was set during the imf crisis and really focused on the desperation and hope of the characters which you could empathise with. I definitely recommend it.
