Sorry but I give episode 19 and 20 a 2 rating. The cosplaying was so fake. How would it reflect on the one billion yuan business venture with the Russian businessman? If I were the Russian businessman, I would start to seriously question Shen's integrity and professional ethics. The writer and director just wanted to give Xu Yan and Shen Haoming a weekend vacation, to make them dress and act silly. It reminds me of the Shawn Dou and Gulnezer Bextiyar drama, Ten Years Late, when they were to the countryside, and dressed up in ethnic costumes.

And the spy getting sprayed with chemicals and falling out of the tree, hiding in their hotel room, and later confronting the four couples around the dinner table. I had to skip 2/3 of the episodes. The only good scene was the one where Shen told Yan about Haochen's mother.

You should. I hesitated on the first day because it is a contemporary drama. I usually watch costume dramas, but I like William Chan and Zhao Lu Si. Now, I can't wait for the new episodes.

I think Mr Shen might have treated her as a trophy wife and decoration in the early years of their marriage. She realized the sane thing was happening to Xu Yan.

The four women need Yu Lan to join the team, as the investor. She should have some money saved up over the thirty plus years of marriage to Mr Shen.

The makeup and outfits looked vampish at times. I don't know what the production team was trying to convey. I realize they were trying to contrast the rich and poor fashion sense, but Xu Yan should have been dressing to impress before the marriage, even if she didn't have money. The drama costume designer could have done better. "Qiao Lin" and "Dress Designer Yao Yao" should have been hired as makeup and wardrobe consultants. LOL

I hope he sent the breakdown of expenses to Xu Yan. She should reveal it publicly at a later date. She could give the story to her nemesis, Sun Si Wei, to do an investigative report. It's extortion.

I wish someone would introduce Fang Lei and Lin Tao. The two clingy delulus deserve each other.

Qiao Lin was the resourceful one when the sisters were younger. She received the parental love and the education advantage, but somewhere along the way, she fell off track, As adults, the tables have turned 180, and Xu Yan is the resourceful one. I can't fathom how Qiao Lin and Lin Tao were a couple. The Qiao parents must have been desperate for her to marry any man.

The drama plot has perked up. Shen Hao Ming and Xu Yan are no longer two pretty cardboard cut-outs for the camera lens. They are becoming three-dimensional characters, utilizing their physical and mental capabilities. The emotional capability is a work in progress. I really wasn't keen on a Hao Ming/Yan reconciliation but Hao Ming is showing his self worth. He trapped the rat Zhang. and charmed the hoodlum Wang. Mother Wang fell for Hao Ming's dimples. (Insert several heart emojis here.)

I felt that Mother Yu Lan was always a wildcard who has been trapped in the Shen dynasty. She understands Xu Yan's POV, and may become a patroness of the Yan Studio.

I can see Xu Yan becoming a top internet influencer. It would be fun to see her personality change as she peddles the goods. Her followers at the TV network, might switch over to the home shopping network, and her rival, Sun Si Wei's ratings will tank. Mr & Mrs Shen might go into shock while Hoachen will be cheering her on.

I was hoping Sun Si Wei would change, but she's an entitled princess, network Diva.

LOL He deserves the demotion. Let's see the entrepreneurial wonder boy turn the failing business around. The manager might have been embezzling the company funds for years.
