The screenwriter and director also took out Yan He with an arrow in his arm. I can't believe they didn't remove it, but he might have bĺed to death. When they arrived, why didn't they summon a doctor immediately, and pull him off the horse? I guess He Yan all knew he was dying in a few minutes. He survived the ride.
