China banned all South Korean entertainment ventures, due to political issues. I think it is ongoing.

ROFL LOL

It seems like the other Master Gates would readily stab him in the back for career advancement, with the exception of Er Ye and Ba Ye, but he would not hesitate to rescue them, as needed.

LOL I was debating between Neo Hou and William Chan. They both command the screen. The first thing you notice is their piercing catseye eyes.

William Chan might be the hottest ML of the Summer.

Zhang Rishan survives a few decades, and shows up, ageless in Tomb of the Sea (2018) with Leo Wu as Wu Xie.

I was curious if the actors were using LED flashlights. LOL

Ripping out the spine was beyond expectation.

I was wondering why the whistle was inside the creature's guts. You provided the answer. Did it eat clothing, too? LOL

I found out that the two Huo Gates in MN1 and MN2 are different characters. I didn't look closely at the names of the two characters.

Episode 14: Those three old Huo aunties were vile. Huo Xian Gu sent them to keep Ding Qian Sui's company in Hell. That was once of the best scenes in the drama.

I didn't realize the characters had different first names even though I looked it up on the cast lists a few times. LOL I forgot that the first Miss Huo had resigned. Since a new Miss Huo was "hired" by the sisters, it explains why they look down on her, even if she is the official Master Gate.

The scariest character is Ding. 🤣🤣

Rarely, I watched 30% of the drama, and dropped it. There were a few over the years, but I didn't dwell on the loss.

Also, the four side stories to Mystic Nine Season 1. 😂😂😂😂

LOL I am watching M9 Season 2 only at the moment. I put the Betrothal drama on hold.

Despite the plotholes and the extraneous tomb filler and flashbacks, the drama was entertaining. The casting was perfect, and the theme song was hot. 🔥

I miss Zhang Ming En/Lt Zhang and Zhao Li Ying.

He was too cute with the dimple. My mother's maiden name was Chan, so I called him my distant relative. 🤣🤣🤣

I watched a few of his earlier acting jobs, and Fo Ye really propelled him into leading man status.

LOL Ten years since the first Mystic Nine! That's a long wait for a sequel, and the same stars returned, more or less. William Chan, Hanson Ying and Chen Pi actor reprised their roles. I am not sure about some of the Gates. Three other important actors did not return; Zhang Yixing, Zhao Yi Ling, Zhang Ming En.

It might be in the first episode of Mystic Nine Season 1. When you have time, you could look for it. Ba Ye was kidnapped and was hanging up in the rafters in a warehouse. Fo Ye came in, and kicked everyone's @$$. It's been ten years since I saw it, and I never forgot the scene. He should be a Marvel superhero.
