I am laughing at the Puppy Boy comments. I didn't like him when he showed up in ep 10, and told Big Brother that he wanted to break off the engagement. He looks like he hasn't shaved yet. LOL

Puppy Boy is an accurate description. Is he 16 or 18?

LBY looks much older than 21. Wow, in ancient times, young men were in charge of the military....because the older generals probably died in on the battlefront. These days, if you placed a 21 years' old person in charge of a department, you would be asking for trouble.

I dropped it at ep 10, when the bridge fell, and Niao Niao was gleeful. The whiny females were irritating me. "The talented Yuan Shen of Bailu Mountain, and the aristocrat Lou Yao" look like plot filler. Why Niao Niao would bat an eyelid at them is beyond me. Someone said ep 11 and 12 were very good, so I might pick it up again.

Mother Xiao has been hanging out with young male soldiers for the last fifteen years, so she has no idea how to relate to a young female. Is she trying to mold her daughter into her own image, or a foot soldier? She hasn't talked to the girl, like mother to daughter. She only disciplines Niao Niao, like a foot soldier.

The material in the first ten episodes of Season 1 could have been condensed into five episodes. I started losing focus with the whiny females and Naio Naio and her mischief. Ling Bu Yi's dialog scenes have been brief as well.

This is a big surprise. They delivered the first 20 episodes with Enlgish subs in a timely manner. I was looking forward to ep 21 and 22 today. I wonder if Youku has abandoned the English subtitling.

I watched ep 20, and I am laughing hysterically, and I am irritated at the same time. Xingfu and Qinglai are already an inconvenience to Yingzhi. Now, the Wang parents have arrived for a visit, unannounced. This must be a Chinese custom. My older brother did the same thing. He traveled on a plane for seven hours, and showed up at my apartment, unannounced. He also had the keys to the apartment, that my Dad had given him.

I agree. Guan Tao and Xingfu are more compatible. Mr and Mrs Wang act like village idiots, as well as Qinglai.

The whole business about the second bedroom for their baby is stupid. Any baby would not be born for nine months or more. I thought she wanted to buy a big house in the countryside, because the house in the city is too expensive and smaller.

Mother told Yani to make sure her name is on the deed to the house. It sounds like a scam. The compensation money went down the drain, as far as I can see. It was all given to Yingzhi, to buy a house to impress the in-laws. WTF The Wang parents have no conscience and sense of value. Little Brother and Xingyun look like they got bigheaded.
