After watching 36 episodes, I assessed Chi Pan's acting range, and made a comment above. Dai Zu has demonstrated the widest acting range in the drama. The actor steals the show with this antics acting. He's not in the Top Four Billing, but his performance is higher than Yinzhang or Ouyang's.

You are on point. I started out loving Gu Qianfan, every minute he was on screen. Two dozen episodes later, he seems to have a veil over him, and the lighting does not help. I know he has injuries, but he seems to have aged, and looks tired. Pan'er also has been walking in a daze...love does that to you.

Ouyang is brazen. He walks right up to the emperor, to talk to him. The man is crossing the line. The are palace protocols to follow. Where is Security? He could assassinate the emperor in his lunatic moments. Emperor is a fool. He tells his eunuch, to send him away, and promote him.

Chipan actor shows the widest acting range in the drama. The other actors are one note.

The chief of police could have been one of the guests...didnt step up. Probably bribed by Mr Wan.

Me, too! Just the first episode had me grimacing. The toady in-laws and their lack of sensibilities. If it were to happen to their daughter, what would they say to her?

The Wang in-laws need to be slapped. Ignorance in the Wan village! The MIL has the worst haircut/wig, too. Mr wan is bigheaded. The man with the camera was taping the attack. I hope he reveals what the Wan son and his friends were doing, and humiliates the Wan family.

First episode had me worked up. The Wang in-laws and old Mr Wan and his son are related to Duke Xiao, Qi Mu, Ouyang, Lei jing. Yinzhang's ex-husband, and Shen. XD

Youku added episode #1 thirty minutes ago with subs.

After this performance, he will be getting more acting jobs.

He looks like a crazed lunatic in the trailer where he and Pan'er meet. LYF must have been laughing hysterically during the filming,

I saw the raw episodes on DC, but decided to wait for the subs on Tencent YT channel.

It's hard to get a higher rating on this drama, unless everyone who has rated it, changes their rating to 9.5 or 10. I rated it 9, btw.
