Liuliangs don't get away from hate I personally think it's much worst. Even if you are a liuliang, your fans can't win over the thousands of water armies bought by the antis or whoever was setting them up. What happened to BJT in Feb was well planned, because everyone was on their vacation and online. They also set him up on the biggest show in china. I think the one who tried to blackened him that time spent a lot of money haha. Ofc others might have swayed and it will be a stain on his name forever but it won't affect his resources that much if his dramas do well. BJT has luxury brands and I heard he's KFC and Red Bull's endorser right now (which a both big in china) so he's generally not doing bad after all the fiasco. You can see how most of the liuliangs are struggling to get good resources nowadays. The production team will pay them a lot (bec they're expensive af) but will not put much effort on the production because they have used up all their budget on the casts. Most of the well known veteran actors in China are not liuliangs before either. Bai Jingting is very similar to Zhang Ruoyun for me when it comes to drama achievements (not yet on zry levels ofc), both are not liuliangs but have the casual drama fans & general public on their backs. That's 10x better than being a liuliang.
