Sizzling hot chemistry!
This drama series has the best chemistry between the ML and FL (Yu Wen Yuan and Su Yan). The ML was yandere and I loved it so much! I wish the drama would have been longer to see character development. I felt it was a bit rushed in terms of the story telling. The ML lead just gave me chills with the way he conveyed so much passion! His eyes were beautiful and spoke volumes without saying a word. Very Good Actor!The FL did a great job showing how distressed she was during the series. Acting was very good.
Disliked: ML could have taken of his class ring during scenes! I'm like this is supposed to be a custom drama! LOL
The emperor's wig was terrible! However, I loved the plot twist with his character in the show! I definitely wasn't expected and unpredictable!

Good Show!
Dong Hua and Bai Feng had very good chemistry throughout the show. I've rewatched this series a few times! Overall, it was a very good show with a lot of interesting moments!A few of my favorite characters besides the main characters were: Lian Song and Yan Chi Wu! Great energy and provided great support to the cast.
I just wished they would have connected the dots a little better why Dong Hua decided to pursue Bai Feng once he returned from the mortal world. He woke up and said he didn't remember anything, later had a dream and wondered who the woman was... he started pursuing Bai Feng without confirming she was actually the person in his dreams. It wasn't until the middle of the series that he finally realized that role she played in his life before they got together. The writers could have done a better job in that regard.
After Dong Hua decides to marry her, he leaves her high and dry over a promise he made to some other person. No kind of loyalty to the woman he loved so much. The story just falls off after that and it feels like all their struggles were in vain. It picks back up again, but.... U Gotta watch it.
Annoying - Ji Heng spends a lot of time pining over a man who doesn't like her and never shows any real affection towards her. Despite this she insists on staying by side. She even follows him into his bedroom to see who's in his bed??? What the heck???
Why do they keep showing these beautiful as desperate with low self-worth???
Once again, the child was left in the wind so Bai Feng could die with Dong Hua. What's up with these shows showing parents as being neglectful?
Overall, it's an enjoyable drama series!

Funny Story but annoying FL
The series starts off well and I was locked in. By the time I got to episode 15 I found the female lead to be extremely annoying.Loved
- The ML he played his role well and gave me plenty of good laughs.
- Her little sister was cute and adorable (loved her bond with big sister)
- The costumes were nice but too similar to background actors (sometimes confusing) had to pay attention to distinguish main actors from background actors.
Dislike
-The prince and woman disguise as a man! Their love story dragged out too long. Also, I don't like stories where men are questioning their sexuality because the female is dressed as a man. So annoying!!!
- Young Mister Fan was obsessed with her for no reason. We didn't get to see why and how he established those feelings and behave in such an obsessive manner.
- Too much back and forth (power struggle) with the Leads! We could have seen more care and consideration that lead to them finding love. It felt like two toxic people having a love hate relationship and not a deep bond.
- The music wasn't compelling enough
- Male lead went from a spy to just hanging around doing nothing but waiting for the FL to give him sign about how she felt and what she wanted.
Overall, the story didn't have a lot of substance. Everything very superficial and plots fell flat.

Best Drama Ever!
I truly love this show!Ye Hua - This character made me believe that he was in love and also devastated when he lost Susu. I loved watching him with his son and also continuing his quest to reunite with her despite the odds. Disliked - how he didn't protect her enough while staying in the palace which ultimately led to the demise of their relationship. He allowed her to be ignored, bullied and mistreated (turning a blind eye). Overall, this actor conveyed so much depth in his acting!!!! Truly amazing work!
Bai Qian / Susu - I enjoyed watching this character and her development throughout the show. I must admit that I was happy when she left Ye Hua after not protecting her when she was Susu! That gave me a lot of satisfaction. She took her power back and walked away. I disliked how she left her child behind and never truly formed a true motherly bond with him even when she later reincarnated back to Bai Qian. He was the smartest most intelligent kid.
Lian Song - I absolutely loved this character and how fair he was during the show. He was so supportive and understanding. It touched my heart to see how compassionate he was to Ye Hua. Best supporting actor in my opinion.
Su Jin - They gave this character too much screen time! To have a character obsessed with a man for 48 episodes was overkill. I believe she is the most annoying person I've watched since watching Chinese dramas. That means the actress also did a good job because I could not stand her!!!!
Kissing Scenes - in these drama shows, I noticed that 90% of them show love scenes in a very strange way. I don't understand why the kissing and love scenes borderline on unwanted and forced. The writers, directors and actors have a choice but consistently choose the route. It can be unsettling.
