I just remenbered- i hate Myeong Yun's weak conviction about her father. She said he was no longer her father because he killed her mother, yet she keeps going back to him, can't leave him, keeps calling him father, and seemed to be hurt when Sang Rok reminded her she was no longer his daughter. And why the heck didn't she return the book! She managed to copy the other books, but the secret one, she couldn't copy or return?
Too many people doing what they think is best but some are naive, gullible, or short-sighted. it's usually the crown prince who's negatively affected. Poor prince... fortunately his will and fortitude are so strong. He would be a great king if he becomes one.
Why does Jin's father favour An so heavily, is he his secret son or what?Started watching this because of an edit…
Dad believed he caused An's parents' death. He was so guilty inheriting the Qin family's business so he swore he'd give it back. Series didn't show how these happened, only mentioned by the characters. Was hoping for info too but they only said "rightfully inherit".
I really wanted to like this, but when they do finally get together, so much of the skinship, is initiated by…
I respect your comment but just clarifying for those who are still trying to decide if they'll watch this drama- there was no force, intimidation, or non-con in this series. Guy initiated the deeper kisses (they weren't even much), yes, and it eventually led to more. Girl gave cheek kisses and lip pecks. But girl gave consent for more. One wouldn't put out as soon as she's kissed, right? Unlike the friend who was more open and jumped to do it even when the other guy literally meant "tea".
I like this movie enough to leave in my rewatch list. Simple, light & different. JGS was adorable. I just found the 2003 and 2017 series. Will check those out too.
Main cast played their characters really well. But I like this show only for Li Cheng and Mu Ren's story. I hate Yong Jie's character. I like stepsiblings-to-lovers trope, the tsunderes, even questionable consent scenes. But Yong Jie is an absolute pyschopath. He was very selfish and without any morality nor remorse even towards Xing Si. He could have killed their dad! Showing that clip was just sick. None of his actions were ok. I kept waiting, but there was nothing to redeem him. A measly reminiscing talk with Xing Si about everything since the birthday up to getting together could have included some apology from YJ or scolding from XS. But no. Seems the writer herself has a twisted morality, all in the name of fiction and entertainment.
Many thanks for this list!!! I don't see Ma Xiao Yu? Do you have a list of actresses too? I watch vertical Cdramas in youtube and they don't always include the names.

Does anyone know where else it can be watched?
