anyone can kindly explain why noh suk min wants to kill do hee so badly? to the extent of sacrificing his son?

oooo thanks for the insight! i get where ur coming from but i just find it hard to swallow becos i did compare it to goblin where his sacrifice was more necessary.

i also just felt that the screenwriters could have went abt this differently, which i found was a wasted opportunity :(

Finished watching this drama, yes it has its good points but i really need to rant:

1. Unfortunately, I feel that GW loves DH so much more than she loves him. It would have been refreshing if she tried to overcome this tgt rather than letting him go. Whereas he never gave up on her and stayed by her side in the shadows.

2. I get that DH loves GW, but hes a demon. If he got shot, he wont die. But in the end, her sacrifice made him die for her instead. Screenwriters, this is a cheap plot. Couldnt they make it such that she didnt have to make such a stupid and nonsensical sacrifice?

3. The comedic scenes, do the editors not know when and how much to include? The drama was in the midst of the thriller plot and they decide to still include comedic scenes that has no value add whatsoever? And there are too many of their scenes in this WHOLE DRAMA. They hardly serve any purpose towards the end and just became filler scenes instead. Instead of the scenes being funny, it got annoying and the scenes got so repetitive. Having them OVERACT to try to be funny was so cringe as well. I loved the office trio, mafia gang and Mr Park + Ms Shin at first, but as the drama progressed, they become a bore.

4. The emotional/ angst scenes are too short, just when I was starting to get emotionally invested, the scene had already ended. Honestly, the most crucial plots could have bad more heartwrenching dialogues and the comedic scenes could have lesser lines.

5. Im glad that they didnt make GW come back in like the last 5 mins but i feel they made him come back too abruptly, I didnt even feel particularly glad. There was just no emotional buildup.

6. I dont get why the screenwriters would make GW want to remain a demon. He loves her so much, but we have to live with the ending where she will grow old but GW will remain young and immortal and see her die? Wouldnt he want to leave this world together with her if he loved her so much?

7. Also, i felt the drama did not really explain the premise of the masked killer. Why did he seem to hate Dohee so much? What made him psychotic? What was his relation to Noh Suk Min? Just when i thought we were gonna get further explanation, he just died. lol.

8. Why did Noh Suk Min hate Dohee so much? Becos his mother loved her more than him? Or was it to become the chairman? But she gave up the spot alr but he couldnt let her off.

All in all, it feels like this drama tried to be Goblin but unfortunately i think it failed

Had the same thoughts as you when I commented last week. Not gonna lie, but being unable to connect to them emotionally really adversely impacted how i felt about this drama.for example when they hug, it doesnt feel like a true hug between lovers. The actions are very minimal and surface level, like just a light hand placement, a robotic action. Real couples will tend to hug each other tightly. I get that its a drama, they arent a real couple in real life, but just thought it would be better if they could portray real couples more realistically.

Does anyone know what happens to the person that has his/her "immortal bones sealed"? Whats the effect?

same, ive watched all 14 eps, might as well see it to the end. I just really hate it when a show had so much potential, everything was going so well until when GW got his tattoo back, the show started going downhill from there.

The disappointment really.... It just feels as though theres a hole in my heart that cant be filled, an itch that cannot be scratched.

My demon made me break my rule of not watching ongoing dramas and i regret it :')

It would have made more sense if they didnt show her witnessing how he made deals before but rather only finding out now. Her acting all shocked and "scared" of GW right now is just horrible and nonsensical

Goodness gracious, this show has to be one of the most cliché kdramas I've ever watched. Its a fantasy drama, they could have built an amazing and refrshing story with this. But what did they do? They just had to make GW the "bad guy" again? At ep 15 really? And gosh please whats with the comedic scenes still.. They could have used those screentime to fully flesh out the angst scenes? The leads arent given enough screentime in those particular scenes to fully showcase the emotions its so damn frustrating....... urgh

I agree with you on this, SK's acting is still missing "something". But he's still got years ahead of him to improve so cant wait to see how it goes.

I also wonder whether the crew filmed the earlier eps later. SK's acting seemed fine to me in the earlier eps. It started looking slightly awkward for me in the later episodes after they got together, especially eps 12 and 13.

I hope they tone down on the comedy scenes and start getting serious and focusing on more impt matters (i.e. the thriller aspect of the drama).

The supporting characters (the office trio and Mr Park + Ms Shin), their comedic scenes are too cringe in my opinion. So far the only comedic scenes I enjoy are the mafia gang's XD

Also, to be very honest, I do not understand why the directors give so much screen time for Mr Park's and Ms Shin's romance. Their acting are abit over the top as well.

Yes! I loved how he would be acting all cute aka "golden retriever" and I swooned over it at first. But theres too many of those scenes now. And instead of using his powers to solve the mystery, he purely uses it to please Do Hee only. Cant he do both? :")

Im missing the badass Gu Won!! Hopefully he comes back in the next 3 eps :(

My idea of "natural" chemistry is the same as yours. I loved the slow build-up of feelings for one another in Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Goblin as they had impt conversations and spent time together. However in my demon, their romance started via cliché romance scenes and it seemed to me that Do Hee initially fell in love with Gu Won because of his good looks. Further, I would have appreciated them having deep conversations to showcase how they are soulmates that really understand one another. However, it seemed like the directors focused too much on their visuals that they hardly had deep conversations together. There were too many close-up scenes of their faces, looking at each other which was enjoyable at the start but nearing the end of the show, its no longer working for me

100% agree that today's episode was too much of a filler. They gave us tons of romance scenes and yet I still feel unsatisfied. The scenes were too "surface level". I would have liked them to have deep conversations with one another rather than them just looking at each other, smiling and laughing the whole time. I'm starting to look forward to the thriller portion of the drama rather than their romance T.T

lol i was thinking the exact same thing. I thought she would be smarter than that. Perhaps its just to set-up the scene for GW to save her once again? Like typical kdramas

oh yes i loved the back story very much. It's more of their modern romance that I'm not getting the butterflies in my stomach as the scenes are getting too cliché

Yes omg THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN THINKING. You took the words right out of my mind XD Side note: I also find the supporting characters becoming redundant and their comedy getting cringey as well.. I rather they use the screen time to give us more natural romantic interactions between the leads rather than inserting cliché ones.

I really was loving this show... hope it gets more interesting so I'll want to rewatch it in future!!!

Theres alot of lovey dovey scenes for sure, but is it just me that theres sth missing? I cant seem to get fully invested in their love anymore

just watched finish this drama, not too bad, but i just dont get why the supporting characters get to have long happy scenes whereas our main leads just stare at each other, no dialogues, not even a hug. Doesnt feel very satisfying :(

i just wanna say - the ep 9 preview both times when gu won smiles at her - MY HEARTTTTT <333
