Agreed! If you see overall plot and performance this drama gets a very solid rating, the romance and chemistry…
That's exactly how I saw it too. The performances from everyone were more than amazing and each character truly stood out in their own place. And yes, I'm also one of those who felt that the battle and politics plot took more time than necessary. For me, it could've been shortened and fewer episodes with tighter pacing would've been better instead of filling gaps with those parts. But as you said, it doesn't affect the overall watching experience.
FL criticisms might have happened after drama ended. Didnt see any negative comments while the drama was ongoing…
So we could say it's forced hate⦠because I genuinely know the actress is amazing. From what I've seen, most of the criticism.. whether about her character in the drama or her acting.. felt like nonsense to me. Like, what exactly did people expect her character to do according to them? Personally, I found her actions to make sense based on the events and as for her acting, I think she's truly great actress and very skilled at what she does. That's why I was surprised by the criticism. But since you said it only started after the drama ended, it makes a lot more sense now.
It's a magnificent series. There's nothing negative to criticize about it. I am my own judge...as you are your…

I understand you, and I also agree that comments can sometimes be helpful.. I don't deny that. However, for me it's different. It depends on whether I already have enough knowledge about the leads and their acting and whether the story is my preferred type or not. That's why I don't rely on comment all the time. In this case, I already had enough knowledge about the acting of both the male and female leads and since it's a historical drama and I knew from the beginning that both the male and female characters are strong, which is exactly my favorite type.. I didn't search for anything about the drama and started watching it directly. It was a good thing that I did that, because if I were someone who depends on comments to decide whether a drama is worth watching or not, I would have missed the chance to watch this beautiful drama.
The more popular a drama is, the more it's subjected to criticism, both constructive and some just pure hate.…
I completely agree! But in the end, it remains successful no matter how loud the critics are. š¤·āāļø Of course, no work is perfect, so it's natural for it to have mistakes or flaws. But after all, it's a drama, and creative choices are part of it. That's why I try to separate reality from any drama. And when I do that, I honestly see the work from a completely different perspective.
100%. I tried to stay away from the comment section when I would enjoy it, and come here and see tons of criticism.…
š¤£š¤£ Exactly!
When I watch a drama, I don't overanalyze every detail or try to tie everything to reality.. after all, it's a drama and creative choices are part of it. so judging a drama based on someone else's opinion.. especially when it might be completely different from mine.. is just not for me.
Honestly, comments can sometimes push you into decisions you might regret later. I was really excited for this drama since filming started because I know both the male and female leads are talented actors, but I postponed it due to being busy. I started watching without reading anything about it and got to around episode 9 When I came here to look up the supporting cast, I found a lot of criticism.. especially toward the female lead. Honestly, I didnāt notice any issue with her character or performance, so I kept watching to see if anything would come up later. Now that Iāve finished it, Iām still trying to understand all that criticism, and I havenāt found anything. The acting was great across the board, not just the leads but everyone involved. The only issue for me was some dragged out scenes with the emperor and the ministers.. it couldāve been shortened, but it didnāt really affect the drama overall. The story was smooth, everyone did a great job, so I really donāt get all this criticism. Thatās why I think itās better to watch things for yourself instead of relying on comment.. you might miss out on something youād genuinely enjoy. At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal taste, so decide based on what you like not others.
Indeed! Really a lot of comments criticized the acting?! Most of us really liked the acting. Story can be a be…
Thanks dear š„° Exactly, and that's why I was puzzled throughout watching the drama about all the criticism, while I have watched many dramas that truly had some questionable aspects, whether in the plot or even in the acting of some actors however I didn't find this amount of criticism! That's why I wanted to write this, especially for people who are new to C-dramas, so they don't form an opinion about C-dramas in general based on the comments without taking the opportunity to discover it by themselves.
The drama was so good! From the story and acting to the visuals, everything was excellent. Tbh, at first, I was hesitant to watch it because I read a lot of comments criticizing the story and the acting. However, I decided to give it a try and I didn't see what those comments were talking about. I found the plot to be very natural and the acting whether by the male lead or the female lead was so good that I wondered why there was all this criticism. So, I want to emphasize this point: I find that the favorite type of dramas is somewhat similar to food, what you may like another might not and vice versa. So, it's better to try it yourself before judging it based on someone else's experience which may be very different from yours. So, from now on I have decided to give the drama a chance first and then make a decision to keep or drop it. I won't just rely on comments!
