So far the series is good cinematography wise and everything but what made me raise an eyebrow was the fact the bodyguard just standing there while jet is getting beaten up, he just stood there like🧍♂️while jet gets punched 2-3 times it's hilarious😭😭 he lowkey feels more like a hired spy that does his secret deeds rather than a bodyguard? It's just funny but overall really enjoyed everything else.
I think I finally understand why. Like why do I get all the chills and goosebumps watching this series/pairing. I have watched countless series, including bls but usually my stomache will be filled with butterflies subtly. However, watching this series gives me kind of a feeling that I can't put into words, Ilike instead of just my stomache, butterflies filled my entire body like an explosion.
I couldn't understand why at first but I think I finally got it. It's the way the actors YEARN for each other. Not just eye f*king but ACTUAL YEARNING.
The way Saenkaew gradually leans into Sasin's arms when they were hiding from kamfah. It's like when someone feels the havoc happening in the surroundings and eventually found a safe space, a place where he can finally have his peace of mind in midst of all the craziness. Everytime they fight Sasin's gaze literally softens, now everytime I read a story or novel with that line I will just think about Sasin's gaze and how soft it gets with Saenkaew.
I think alot of bl (like 90%) have the characters in a situation where they don't have to yearn as hard. Like the plot will have some minor inconveniences, etc parents that are introduced in the last 3 eps and disagree with their relationship etc. But it usually gets solved so quickly and the happy ending is slapped directly infront of us. Which don't get me wrong, still works for the feels.
This series however, really forces the actors to yearn so hard I literally feel tears whenever saenkaew shows signs of letting his guard down around sasin. Some people are mad at ep 6 and no kisses at all...but do you guys not see the effects of this?? Like their first kiss will blow away minds with how much yearning and chemistry have been pent up leading to that moment.
Peak is so so so good, and their chemistry together is chemically explosive. Even Peak knows that (which is probably why he proudly stated in the interview that they'll be partners for a long time, a surprise considering how One31 doesn't decide on fixed pairings, I guess the actors do it themselves?) chemistry like this is so hard to find I'm left in awe...and we're only HALFWAY through the series. The amount of times I held my breath just from the overwhelming sadness I feel for saenkaew is insane.

I agree! Usually I am not too keen with fixed pairings either, but something about One31 always hitting with the crazy plots makes me happy that they are the ones doing it. It basically guarantees that their future shows will be very good.
I also agree that it would be nice to see them branch out abit, but for Tor, I'm pretty sure he never intended to be in a fixed pair, Jam and Film also agreed to part ways mutually after only 2 series. Which is why PearlPeak being a fixed pair under One31 seems to be an even rarer (or even miracle to begin with). But I do agree someone with Peak's acting skills he would be so good in any dramatic soap operas 🤣

From the way Charan was describing Prince Wasin, (assuming it's not a mistranslation), It would make sense for there to be a hidden heir if he somehow "lost" his consort. Maybe she wasn't from a well of family/or he has to keep her hidden for safety reasons after seeing how Khanin's family got assasinated. Maybe his consort was secretly pregnant and gave birth while in hiding. I'm really unsure but if anyone's read the novel please let me know^

I'm GENUINELY surprised at how good/comfortable it was to watch. I personally don't know how to explain but this series makes me feel really comfortable, maybe because I relate to Diew. And how much it means to have a person as understanding of personal space, like God. I am genuinely surprised, I have not binged watched a show like this in awhile.

I never even knew of the naga fireballs before that episode You can't deny the cgi looks amazing plus we are barely an inch into the mythological aspect of the show yet, which really starts in the next episode I assume.
