Yes or at the very least he had a crush on her. Makes sense seeing as they both are in a similar situation but…
It sounded like she was raised by her mother as a regular person and then something happened and she then lived with her dad. So my guess is she is as unbroken as she is because of her upbringing from her mother.
I hate the female lead. Too arrogant. I preferred the girl from lovely runner
I think he needs someone with that arrogance to be able to toe the line against the queen mother and come out unscathed. Also, if we're talking about arrogance, the male lead is probably the most prideful man alive. If anyone other than Beon Woo Seok was playing him with his infectious charm, I'd dislike him.
I also loved the female lead in lovely runner. But it was a very different story and the male lead is in a very different position. I think they are a perfect match. She has the playfulness and joy he has desperately needs in that cold, distant palace.
Love the female lead! Her audacity LMAO. It's 2026, stop expecting FLs to be "a nice girl"!
And it's not like she's mean. She is still pretty principled, just willing to play dirty if that's what it takes. I love her relationship with her assistant and her willingness to go up against people "above" her. But she's also very real and quirky. Loved the part with her struting around in the hat, so proud!
Absolutely loving this so far. Beon Woo Seok if killing the repressed, tightly reigned in emotions that would be expected of royalty. And as always, he somehow makes a prideful egotist utterly charming, disarming, and occasionally lets his mask slip to show his genuine awkward sincerity. I think he's had a crush on her since their school days and is struggling with himself to keep his composure every time he's near her. Also, I think he was rejecting the marriage idea only because he really did want her to love him back, and because he didn't really want to subject her to the "queen mother".
As for IU, I had never seen her in anything before and didn't have any expectations for her. But She has pulled off making the girl boss not only likable, but identifiable. Loving it! I can't wait for him to win her over!
Also really love how the assistant just kind of accepted her at the hotel as a safe person with no real evidence. He just knew she could be trusted. Also love how he was like "I liked to see her go up against the queen mother". Looking forward to more.
Just finished. It was pretty good. I really like the 1st third of the series. It got a little laggy in the middle…
Does anyone have any recommendations for another show with a feel similar to the beginning of this series? Like either a VR set in that time, or a funny mystery historical, or time travel?
At first I was expecting to rate this similar to Filter (a drama I really enjoyed), but I’m quite disappointed.…
I feel exactly the same! The game story line was so cool, I wish they'd spend more time there. Also, their back and forth banter and antics in the game was on fire!
Just finished. It was pretty good. I really like the 1st third of the series. It got a little laggy in the middle and then the angst of the breakup was super annoying. I kind of started to not like her around that time because her reasoning was not that great. It ended well enough, though. Overall, though, I wish they had spent more time in the VR world. Their chemistry was off the charts in that storyline. It was so cool.
I loved it! Wasn't the best mystery ever, but it did kind of make sense. But I thought the ML & FL relationship was very natural and genuine. And it was sweet. I am glad Laik found joy in singing again. Love that he became his own record company (I think that's what they getting at). honestly, wish they'd left that terrible manager behind, though. I liked that the last episode was all about closure and didn't feel rushed. The only thing that kept this from being a perfect 10 for me was that it didn't have hardly any comedy. Very dramatic and serious, which is fine. But I think the pacing would've been better with a bit more. Overall, though, very enjoyable!
A lot of people speculating its Hye Ju in the comments...if theyve written this so she`s the killer the drama…
It's totally the youngest band member. I always thought his giving the other guy an alibi was fishy, cuz that also gave him one.
I'd think it could be the ex girlfriend except she seemed ok with letting him go now. If she had killed a guy over getting him back (my assumption as to her motive) then she just wouldn't be ok with that.
Amid all the annoying chaos and mess, our couple was just ridiculously cute. They know exactly what to say to…
I know! So cute! Also, loved how her coworker was like she can't possible be able to defend him now and in she comes with "I need this, this and this, stat!" LOL! She is such a pro. I can't wait to see her wipe the floor with the prosecutor and his "evidence".
The thing is that a romance should not be good to be real. This is the first Kdrama I watch after years, but in…
I think they are giving us just enough to hint at them being romantic by the end of the season, like going for a date after this is all over. I actually feel like they could be a very genuine couple because they are both being very open with each other (having watched the latest episode) and have seen each other at their worst which I always feel is important. If you still like someone after you've seen them at their lowest, there's a good chance you'll make it through future rough patches. Do I think they will be married with kids by the end of this...no. But I do think they will be ready to see where their relationship goes.
I initially thought that the CEO did it, but he seems like a red herring at this point. I really like the theory…
I think he's just a douche. But apparently he's not a very good prosecuter if he's trying to beat a dead cow like that. I mean, if anythings gonna kill his career it's going to be imprisoning someone who is innocent, not changing suspects midway through and investigation....pretty sure that happens A LOT.
Question, has it been said who La Ik's father is? Cuz maybe...
His father is that CEO father of his ex girlfriend and that's why he was so appalled by the idea of them dating. Maybe that is the "secret"? Probably not, but it would be a good soap opera twist, lol!
