So far this is really good for a short drama. Well acted by the two main leads and their relationship is believable in how it is progressing, considering their abhorrence for one another. I love how practical her character is!
I saw comments about the portal and omgosh I just saw it. What does that mean?! Is NH the same person as she saw…
1. I believe this indicates that the NH that came through the portal was the script NH. At first I thought Nan Heng was Nan Feng coming through the door and had just played a prank on her or just remembered, but then he said the phrase "White head, same heart" and she wondered about him calling her Song Yi Meng instead of Song Xiou yu. At that point I went back and rewatched that scene and noticed the portal closing to the script world. So he is definitely Nan Heng here from the script world. 2. My guess is the epilogue happened after the three months away, otherwise NH would've known where she was for those three months as he would've been with her. I think once they reached their alternate "ending" then she woke up in the real world where only one night had passed during the entire time spent in the script world. When she disappeared, NH figured out a way to go after her and thus opened a portal into the real world. If like half a year passed in one night, he had time to figure it out since is seems script world time goes by in the blink of an eye compared to real world time.
The ending was so awesome! I was happy with the, leaving it where it was before the credits. When she woke up at the end, I was like great, is it going to be one of those ambiguous it was all a dream, but she might still end up with the real world version of him anyway? Then when NH stepped out of the portal and a blink and you'll miss it moment (I did miss it the first time, only caught it on the rewatch. Was very confused until then) I was ecstatic! I can only assume she disappeared on him one day he racked his brain for a plan to get her back (as he does). I wish I'd scene that part from his POV. But wow, that end was bumped this up to a perfect 10 for me. Did not disappoint at all!
Based on his reaction it seemed like he was shocked by this. My theory is that is his first moment of wondering if maybe his characters had grown outside their scripted backgrounds.
Song Xiaoyu is a rare female leadāreal, strong, and unapologetic. Some may call her a red flag, but she loved…
I mean, from her perspective, this is all supposed to be fake anyway. So yeah, she's going to put herself and her own safety before the feelings of fictional characters!
Her and this damn script are getting on my nerves. Why does she trust the worst part of the script will happen…
Well things sure seemed to being playing out according the script for the wedding scene. If Nan Heng hadn't known about it and made a plan to try to beat the script, he would've ended up stabbing her.
Not a spoilerā¦just speculation about the supporting charactersā¦.That emperor/Yiting scene was highly sus today.Am…
Well the next iconic scene is Yiting being pregnant as Nan Heng's concubine, so my guess is the emperor will either force that, or force her to marry Nan Rui instead so she'll still be living at the palace and be put in the hostage position there.
Did anyone notice how there was a caption while the army surgeon was doing NH stitches that made sure to tell us it was a modern technique? So is he from the real world or did he learn that from the mystery person who told him about the assassination attempt?
Actually, its not the character development. Its the 40 episode format which the audience doesn't have patience…
I agree that her constant lecturing seems worse because its so long. in a shorter format it would've been like 2 episodes max that it took place and people would've had more patience for it.
Wait, please tell me, is the FL really like what some comments are saying? I read some comments the other day…
She isn't nice to the ML. However, she's also scared to get close to him because she's afraid she'll die (or whatever her tortuous ending was) as that's what happened in the script. She's also mad about his deceptions. And he legit did try to kill her multiple times. The only reason he didn't succeed was because of her "plot armor". Personally not surprised she tried to drop him so many times given that and what she believes from the script. She lectures him a lot and I think people got sick of the lecturing once they felt he'd been redeemed or whatever. Ultimately she does end up trying to help him once she realizes he's not evil, per se. I think people just feel he did more than enough groveling to get her back sooner and they just want more lovey dovey scenes. I personally like to see a ML grovel, so this is the show for me, lol!
