Shin Min Ah doesn't pick candy type characters who need rescue every 2 seconds.
So far I have loved her in the 3 dramas I’ve seen of her. And I agree the other two were strong with personality characters (Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Oh My Venus). And I can def notice she knows what characters to play, I am glad she chooses to play women with so many positive traits.
But here, this character shines brighter in my opinion. she was very smart and wise and compassionate, strong, driven, fierce. I was in awe with how much she would do for the people she loved, how selfless she was to take a step back (eg w Ji Uk and his promises) or keep quite and just be supportive (eg w Ja Yeom/father plotline).
I see many comments saying she is mean and rude but I find her to be one of the most beautiful characters I’ve seen. Obviously not flawless but thats part of the charm.
Exactly finally someone echoed my sentiments....they had so much time in the last episode they wasted it and rushed…
i find this very common in most the dramas ive seen, it always leave me wantinh a bit more, and I dont ask for “a lot more” just a last little dessert treat
i love this series hands down but why do dramas struggle to have a fully satisfactory ending, it always feel a bit rush at the very end, a bit bittersweet to not been shown a bit more
This show is very light hearted and quick witty w the humor and cute moments but it also has a lot of depth in the characters and story and lots of nuance to real problems in society re marriage, work environment, difference for women and men in society, having kids and being responsible in their upbringing, and much more.
