Overall, this wasn't too bad. I feel like the plot was good, but then at some point something felt off? I'm not sure, but I feel like there was a lot of repetition and confusion. However, there were some really funny moments and the first couple of episodes were very exciting. Daou and Offroad were amazing and I'm really looking forward to their future projects!
I will say u should give eclipse another chance...first 3 ep the things will be a little slow ...and i get it...i…
Hey! omg thank you so much for encouraging me to rewatch it, honestly I enjoyed it so much more this time around :) I think it's probably because I had clear expectations and focused on my favourite parts of the show hehe. It was so hard not to binge the series, which I had to avoid due to school work :( Thanks again! (yes, soo many people lack common sense sometimes, everybody's tastes are different!) <3

Thank you so much for your response and advice! I will give it another try for sure because I really want to enjoy the series and don't think I watched it 'properly'. Now that I sort of know what to expect (plot-wise) I think I will be able to appreciate it more. :)
I watched the first couple of episodes and air and honestly they weren’t really doing it for me. First and Khao have amazing chemistry, BUT plot wise I wasn’t feeling it. I picked it back up when all the episodes were released but just skipped through them, mainly to find out the end.
However, I have seen how a lot of people are obsessed, even claiming this to be one of the best dramas, so I really want to try watching it again. Can anyone let me know if you think it’s worth it?
I felt the same with ATOS and on second watch I was SO confused to how I didn’t realise how brilliant it was the first time so really want to give The Eclipse another chance. Should I?
In all honesty, I'm super frustrated at Porsche for allowing Vegas to meet up with Pete without first getting his permission. To me, it's as if Porsche used Pete to get the information needed from Vegas without considering Pete's feelings. If I saw serious wounds on my friend's body, the last thing I would do is send them back to the person who put them in not only such a terrible physical state but also in an extremely fragile mental state and I'm sure many others would do the same. Throughout the series, Porsche has felt like a character with a lot of empathy so his actions here seem a little out of character.
Watching Pete being yet again captured by Vegas broke my heart. After finally escaping his clutches, we're back to square one. It does seem like the majority ship these two characters, but personally, I believe that this is a very unhealthy situation. Pete almost seems like he has lost his identity after being confined with Vegas. When he cried about how he is human and he didn't like it, the impression I got is that his environment has affected his choices rather than his actual feelings, he accepted Vegas's treatment of him not because he actually enjoyed it, but rather he felt as though there was no other way around it.
I'd like to add that clearly, this is a personal opinion and in no way am I devaluing anyone else's perspectives. We all have different interpretations and I fully appreciate that. Also, I have not read the novel so my opinions are only formed from the show.
Let’s hope for more entertaining BLs in the future! I would say enjoy watching the last two episodes, but I’m guessing that will be difficult for you. Instead have fun watching whatever show you’re actually liking right now :) I’m sorry if this show has been difficult to watch for you and of course your points are completely valid.
Definitely get your point about repetition in regards to the lack of character development. Regardless, I’m still enjoying it as are others. However, as you mentioned, some are not.
I always appreciate the fact that everyone has diverse perspectives and opinions because it really opens great conversations. I hope you’re able to find something that you enjoy more. :)
Appearing condescending was not my intention so I apologise for that. I never said that what the characters are doing is the best case, but it does reflect some aspect of reality. It took me 5 years to seek mental attention for my illness. This is something I wish I did earlier but, for reasons listed above, I did not. Also this is a drama, they are designed to entertain and although at times they also educate, this is not there primary objective.
Heartbreak doesn’t necessarily have to have major change, it’s severity can increase through time. Regardless, that’s just my opinion and I completely respect your views
Just to let you know recovering mental health treatment can be a huge privilege. Many individuals either don’t know they need it, don’t know how to seek it or suffer from embarrassment in fear of appearing “weak”. In an ideal world of course everyone who is suffering mental should be recieving some sort of psychological treatment, but we don’t live in an ideal world.
Also, I don’t understand why you feel the need to attack those enjoying this drama, constructive criticism is functional but there’s no need to dismiss the emotions and devalue the comments of others. If you don’t like the show you can always stop watching it, i’m sure there’s others out there that fit your needs.
Absolutely broken after today’s episodes and can confirm, I will be crying myself to sleep. Is it true that next week episodes will be the final ones? Only because I’m certain I heard something about there being 12 previously… How is this going to end? aaaa
I agree. At first i was excited to see how VegasPete will form their relationship but after seeing how Vegas treated…
I was the same, complex relationships are a great reflection of reality! But in Vegas and Pete's case it's very much one sided abuse in my opinion. (btw love the LZ pfp :) )
In YOUR perspective there is nothing salvageable but that doesn't mean we share your opinion.
of course it doesn't, but that's why discussions are so fruitful. Sorry if you felt as if I didn't respect your opinion, my intention was to just bring up a point I haven't seen alot of. The definition of what 'love' is has no true answer, it's all up to perspective. :)
