7.8 rating us probably ly more accurate than your bias review
Sure, keep dreaming, sweetheart. I didn't like Love in Contract and didn’t like Forecasting Love and Weather. I can rate things however I want—unlike your hate rating.
Comments like these are honestly part of the reason so many actors struggle with their mental health. At the end of the day, they’re professionals doing their job. They prepare extensively for their roles and have health professionals guiding them through physical transformations.
I completely understand that everyone is entitled to an opinion—but not every opinion needs to be shared publicly, especially when it’s repetitive and focused on someone’s appearance rather than their performance. The K-drama community can be so supportive and passionate, but sometimes the comment sections can become unnecessarily harsh. We’ve seen far too many actors suffer under constant public scrutiny, and it’s heartbreaking. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
Imagine having people repeatedly criticize your looks and question your choices, even after you’ve explained that it’s for a role. From her interviews alone, you can sense that she’s already a bit tired of having to justify herself over and over again.
If the styling or character portrayal isn’t to your taste, that’s completely fine—but perhaps the kinder choice is simply not to watch, rather than continuously picking someone apart online. A little empathy goes a long way.
Is it good so far? I like the ML actor so I might try
It’s definitely worth watching so far. Don’t be put off by the negative comments about the female lead—her look and expressions are intentional. She prepared herself that way for the role. The negative comments are mostly about the female leads look not the acting.
The tension between the two main stars is absolutely sizzling and full of feistiness. The storyline is really engaging so far, and I’m loving the chase the male lead is giving. The second male lead is also amazing—his expressions, even though he hasn’t had many scenes in these first two episodes, are outstanding. Truly impressive acting.
I do think they could add a few more details to the story, but considering it’s only a 12-episode drama with hour-long episodes, it’s understandable.
One thing I’ve noticed is that some people are commenting that the female lead looks sickly or that her expressions seem off. Honestly, before starting this drama, I watched some of her interviews to get a sense of what to expect. I think she lost a lot of weight for her role, and her expressions, while they may feel a bit irritating, are intentional. That’s exactly the point—her performance is meant to evoke a specific reaction.
We have to remember that actors often go to great lengths for a role, whether it’s changing their appearance, losing or gaining weight, or completely transforming their demeanor. I’ve been following her since High Kick, and I think she’s doing an incredible job in this drama.
