Dont be. Its a happy ending in the novel and i am 99% sure they r not going to ruin it.

The book's setting is not of the current time plus even in current time its perfectly understandable for someone to act this way. U can't really be expecting someone from a society like that of taiwan or china to be exactly open minded. Moreover, he didn't do anything extreme....he just didnt act like a liberal raised in USA. For an asian i would say he handled it better than most parents would.

He gets more flirty and becomes more shameless but lets see what drama does cuz the drama isnt exactly following the book
