THE BEST OSTTTTT❤️❤️
I have to be honest. When The Last Twilight was first announced, I purposely didn’t watch it. That’s mainly because I’m not a fan of Jimmy. Bad Buddy left such a strong impression on me. He played the friend that i HATEDDD so well that I just couldn’t separate him from that role. It actually made it hard for me to see him in any other series or Jimmysea. His acting was that good 😭😂What finally pulled me in, though, was the OST. I’ve been listening to this ost on repeat! William’s voice is absolutely beautiful and emotional. I was completely obsessed. The song alone made me curious enough to give the show a chance. I’m glad I did, even though I have mixed feelings.

This series isn’t your typical light, fluffy BL romance. It explores something much deeper. It’s about living with disability, and overcoming the inner battle after .. That alone makes it stand out from the usual tropes. I appreciated how it tried to be meaningful and thoughtful, especially in portraying blindness and how it affects not just the person, but also the people around them.
Despite its unique concept, the overall story didn’t quite hook me the way I hoped. I didn’t feel consistently drawn in, and some parts felt a bit slow or emotionally distant. However, there were two scenes that truly broke through and touched me deeply. Both involved the relationship between the main character(Sea) and his brother, (Mark)
Mark’s love for his brother was so raw and genuine. You could feel how much he cared, how protective he was, but also how much he struggled with his own feelings of being overlooked or forgotten within the family. The moment where they said, “Beef stew is your favorite” completely shattered me. It wasn’t a big, dramatic scene, but it was full of emotion and years of unspoken love. I was literally sobbing. That scene, and others like it, made the family aspect of the story feel very real and powerful. In fact, I think the development of the family relationships was one of the strongest parts of the series.
Now, about the ending. I usually love a happy ending. But I had mixed feelings about the main character getting a donor and regaining his sight. While I understand why some people might find that uplifting or satisfying, I personally felt it undercut the core message of the series. Throughout the story, there’s a strong emphasis on the idea that being blind doesn’t make someone any less worthy or capable. That they can still live a full, meaningful, independent life without needing to be “fixed.”
So when the ending gave him his sight back, it felt like the show was saying, “Actually, he did need to be fixed after all.” That didn’t sit right with me. I think the story would have been more impactful if it ended with him continuing to live as he was. Of course, that’s just my personal perspective.
In the end, The Last Twilight had its flaws, but it also offered moments of quiet beauty and emotional truth, especially in how it portrayed family, care, and personal growth. I’m honestly glad I gave it a chance. And I’ll admit… Jimmy may have slowly started to win me over
