Yeah, that turned into a long thread. 😁I triggered some who thought the supporting actor stole screen time, but to me it all fit the story. I just asked if that’s subjective or if someone actually measures it per ep/all ep. I’ve followed HS much less than VOS, so I don’t really know, but I can imagine the war. FInding abt billing thing also made me see why I’ve been dropping or fast forwarding cdramas -fillers, long unnecessary dialogues, and sidelined interesting side characters ...to give the mains screen time no matter what.

Don't know, only that show "Laugh together" but no drama news.

I found out about it 3-4 months ago after getting dragged into a comsec for saying the characters felt balanced to me. Some fans of the ML flocked in not liking it and that’s when I first heard about the billing and screen time stuff. Got curious how serious it is in China, so i checked and it's pretty serious, it's like it was in Hollywood for decades untill the '80 when they switched to alphabetical order and fanwars abt billings n screen time died out.

Just remembered that once i saw a photo, think it was Rui holding the script so I used circle to zoom in on the page to see if I could get the lines to translate..so I guess people who really want details have many ways to get them..

Me too..cause some fans are out there with stopwatch on like it’s the olympics ...tracking who’s overshadowing who. Always wondered how do they even measure screen time? Like, if their idol’s just standing there like a ficus in the background, does that count? Or do they hit the stopwatch the moment he start to talk or move?😆🤷‍♀️

Right on..i even thought at one point he was moved up to lead..read it somewhere...but mdl has him as support, so it's probably not true

Lol, it’s always the same with this director and his film sets. DPs don’t even need to hide in bushes or hang from trees and fences to get film leaks. Sometimes, I think they could stand closer to the actors than the set cameras😁😆
