Just finished the whole series. For me, the over all story was very good minus the romance/loves tory plot. I don't know , I want their friendship and being a partner for revenge but I can't with them being lovers.
In terms of acting, the actors who shine in here were Im Ji Yeon ( Yeon Jin), Yeom hye Ran ( Hyun Nam) and the young actress who played as the lead. The three for me gave the feels, emotions and eye expression that I wanted. Song hye kyo on the other hand, I don't know why but in my opinion when I watch her in every series she's on, her acting for me is always lacking. Some of her scene in here felt awkward and in some scene I don't feel her even if the scene is dark. Maybe its her eye expression I'm not sure. But over all I want to praise her for doing different role for this series , I finally saw her do something new and be playful and adventurous for a role.
Funny how Hye joo's character , who we initially see as being weak, turns out to be the strongest character in the series. Although it took her 20 years to develop the courage, she has learned how to be a good person, stand her ground, and speak up when no one else will or is willing to. We all have different coping mechanisms for dealing with trauma and sadness, but occasionally we find ourselves hiding our fears under a façade of bravery and well-being. Fortunately, sometimes a light can give you the courage you need to confront those who have wronged you. similar to what Hye Joo's did.
"One person was never just a one person. You made the decision to do the right thing and do the first step, then gradually others will follow. Someone have to be brave enough to dare , Somebody has to take the first step".
This series was a good watch. To be honest Its not an overall perfect series, it has some flaws and let downs and for some it may be a boring slow melodrama but in my opinion this one is very well written.
Why would she stay in that house for 5 years? Why would he let her? Not to hurt Hye Joo is simply not a valid…
I think one of her reasons why she stays on Nam's house, swallowed her pride and kept quiet is for her to use Nam jong Do's power in return for the justice of her child's death. It's a bit rubbish reasoning but a mother can do anything for her child even it destroys her.
NJD RAPED THAT NOODLE LADY???!?!?! WTF!!!!!!!!!!π±π±π±π±
Worst is , what if it is really true that Nam Jong do was a rapist that's why his doing this good things from the start to lessen his guilt. ( donating money and food secretly and coincidentally he is donating that money and food on where young hye ju is working as an volunteer worker) . Then it will be revealed that he's the real person who molested hye joo since that backstory was always been cut from the beginning. Its possible that Seung ho wanted to raped hye ju first but got scared after seeing her black out so he run away. Then the person who molested her was another person and shockingly it will be Nam Jong do. π
And if this plot happens I will surely be f*ckg mad and be disappointed.
This drama was very stressful. It goes round and round about the same issue and it appears like more than half of the characters in the story have experienced it. sex crimes, infidelity, and rape.
i didnt even notice there wasn't an episode title til it popped at the end. 10/10.
Im currently watching it on Netflix and the title "Infidelity" was already written as the title of the 13th episode, seeing it spoiled the surprise for this episode π₯²
I think that the previous theory in the comments were correct after watching episode 13. As per the plot involving Yeo Jin's child, her husband may have murdered her child after discovering Yeo jin and Jong Do's affair. therefore in order to ensure that she keeps the secret, Jong do make her stay in their house .
Furthermore, Woo Jae, Nam Jong do's secretary, seems to be plotting a plan or seeking revenge. His loyalty to Nam Jong do was very suspicious.
Lastly, I have a feeling that there is more to Hye Joo's backstory because it appears that her flashbacks will be the major plot twist in the story since the main plot of this series was about her secret being exposed to the world. I believe there was more involved and happened on the night of her incident . I just wished that it wouldn't be painful for her cause I felt her pain when her own daughter accuses her for being a money grabber and liar .
Oh my God !! These last episodes were very very good!! Bombs after bombs . I'm just like what the hell , am I watching the same characters?? I love how I felt the sadness and heartbreaks of every character on the beginning and then got thrilled and exciting for the final part! Looking forward for next week episodes!!!!!
why do people still think this drama is slow? weird .. I find the pace good and a lot happen in every episode…
Same thoughts , cause I really love the direction this drama is heading. Maybe for some viewers' it's because the show' theme is too serious and there are many questions that remain unanswered given that there are just 6 episodes remaining. But like you, I thought the pacing was fine since I enjoyed how they gradually revealed some important aspects of the story which piqued my interest and wanted to see more.
This movie has a lot of potential. The CGI is almost flawless, and the actors deliver terrific performances, especially the two female leads. I must admit, though, that the story itself is weak. Given that the film's title refers to Jung E, an A.I. robot, I had hoped to see more scenes with her, but sadly she received less screen time than I had anticipated. Second, I think it would be better if they widely illustrated the concept of type A through C brain replication, I guess it might be better if they widely illustrated it in their environment on the movie. I enjoy that concept in the story, but unfortunately they just slightly convey it while concentrating on some redundant conversation scenes. Overall, I think this movie is a letdown, which is unfortunate because the actors are excellent and the CGI is almost perfect, but the plot was poorly conceived. I will recommend you to watch it since these actors and staff deserves praise for their efforts.Doing a Sci fi movie with green screen is hard and I love how korean filmmakers exceeds on doing this genres. Hopefully the director/ writer will learn from this movie cause I love Train to Busan and Hellbound and he is talented but this storey is lacking.
Ep 10 ok Iβm really started to believe the Soo bin / NJD affair . What do you guys thinking? The daughter is…
I think that soo bin doesn't have an affair with NJD but I have a gut feel that there is something between the other lady who live at Nam's house. I felt like she's guilty of something and her saying sorry to hye ju seems to be about something that Soo bin uses on blackmailing her , that's why she got the money that fast.
-affair to NJD perhaps
Maybe that secret is what Ji hoon saw on their house the he seems so shock .(pertaining in the mid season trailer that was shown on sbs)
I didn't understand what you meant by "pull the tracks onto his wife". As far as i can see he is trying real hard…
What I meant to say is, in trolley dilemma the issues , incidents and dilemmas was portrayed as the train thus if he chose to put the track onto his wife and made the decision to reveal her wife's past. She will suffer pain, which will trigger memories of her past traumas. Just like happened to the other victims, some people will criticize her, while others will badmouth her. Seeing what happened to the granddaughter of the mill lady.
In episode 10 were hye ju states that shes fine with the idea of sharing her experience in order to "help in the amendment of the law which will be for the greater good". However, even if we believe that Nam Jon do always protects her wife, his plan for that greater good would require a collateral damage, namely the resurfacing of Hye ju's trauma and her privacy.
The trolley dilemma in context of how it has been portrayed in previous episodes. If you had to pick between five individuals and one, would you pull the lever to kill one person, or would you go with the option that would have a bigger number of victims? Clearly, Nam Jong Do is currently the one who is controlling the train . The dilemmas and troubles that exist are depicted by the train, along with the incidents happened to his family and wife. Will Nam jong do decide to put that train of dilemmas to the other side of the train track where he will hurt, exploit and affect all the victims and families, or will he decide to pull the tracks onto his wife for the sake of the greater good?
Considering this series larger picture, I've also noticed that all of the problems that the series encountered were connected to Hye Ju's previous story. I get her guilt and trauma, how Hye Ju responds, and the psychological portrayals of each person's various characters. Just like what one of the lyrics of a song says: "Until it happens to you, you don't know how it feels," and like Hye Ju tells to Nam Jong Do: "You don't know what I'm afraid of."
wdym soobin obsessed with ml? i dont think they had secret rship or whatsoever lol
That card with heart belongs to nam yeon so. If you watch the scene when she ask her mom about her assignment (trolley dilemma) that card was pinned on her wall.
