yeah that's what I was trying to point out in my reply tbf. I never meant to imply that I see what seo yul is doing as love or pity or even nostalgia necessarily, just that this might be his thought process in inviting her to leave with him.

I think the main differences between yul and uk come down to how they were taught as children, with yul staying in songrim and getting certain strong values ingrained and their accompanying expectations placed on him, while uk didn't have that but instead had the freedom to seek his own way and beliefs (essentially head vs heart in what leads them forward and what they view as a possible course of action).

I mean that's a fair interpretation to have. the way I'm interpreting it is that seo yul can see that there's a lot of risk in mudeok staying in songrim especially with park jin only getting more suspicious as time goes on (and if she gets found out she'll get hurt since she doesn't have her full power back yet). versus, in seoho fortress she'd be safer for the time being (tangent, but I see the main couple's hearts growing fonder for each other while away for a bit and probably using the jade to communicate their feelings long-distance but idk we'll just wait and see)

in other news but not really, CP was golden this episode, his scenes are just so entertaining aa

lol why are a bunch of people mad at seo yul this week?? at this point I just want him to be happy rather than focusing on ships but oh well

omg I was just thinking about this possibility too! there's a lot they could have seo yul do in the background to lay the foundation for the later parts of the story, I'm really looking forward to see how they lead in to s2 generally

now I wonder if there's a possibility of hyx releasing before the official english tl comes out in oct, gonna dream it into existence
