This is a rant and reason why I would never recommend this show!
I don't get the hype of this show! I watched the show while it was ongoing and sure for the first 4-5 episodes it was quite interesting but boy after that it was a painful watch till the end!.. The story seemed all over the place, the characters and their intentions did not make any sense and the romance angle was totally unnecessary and forced. There was no explanation as to what happened to the real Kang bin na as in the first episode they said that she was a lost soul and was wrongly sent to the hell..so what happened to her later on we don't know!! The Villains of the first 4 episode were interesting to watch and felt way more real and wicked than the main villains who were fought of way more quickly and easily.. Also I did not get why they had so many side characters (the people of the building), who were quite honestly irritating to watch and the angel was also unnecessary to the story.Most of all, I was irritated by the fact that they saw/judged supernatural entities through the scale of human morals. I mean why was the ML angry at kang bin na when he knows she is The Devil! It's her Job to put bad guys away..why do he want to punish her for killing the bad guys and the hypocrisy of the ML that the minute he was the one who suffered a loss and needed her suddenly he was ready to understand everything she did??
In all I felt the plot had a lot of potential but they wasted it!.. The characters were not at all reasonable (including KBN love for HDE), side characters were not fun to watch and the plot and dialogus felt very obvious and robotic, there was no feelings and felt no emotion for the characters what so ever (they tried to make most of the characters pitiable)!...

This might be a long Review!!
I just finished watching the show and boy was it an underwhelming ending!! I loved the premise of the show. I liked the characters, their chemistry and both of them are Very good looking people and the editing of the show was amazing(which was unexpected and refreshing). But with that I don’t know if it was the direction or their acting which at many occasion felt very inapt. The situations where they could’ve shown more emotions than just a still face was more than many.The characters were not at all strong despite showing them powerful and wealthy, nothing was in their control. Half of the plans they made were fail, and most of the scenes did not make sense. Especially the scene where they talk in morse code! Like what the hell??? If you know he is there and you are anyways going to save him then why wait for the villain device a perfect plan to flee? I mean the whole time the villain was the one winning, and he would’ve won if he did not have a change of heart! The end where Hui Leuk To just kneels down and admits defeat for no particular reason was just embarrassingly senseless and made me loose some of my hair out of anger! Like bro you have a Freking gang just 2 meters away, use them!!
I also have a lot to complain about Fei Foon, who was not a fair boyfriend. This might be an unpopular opinion but I did not feel Hui Leuk To was a bigger red flag then Fei Foon. In fact, Vincent was a very nice boyfriend after the initial episode, whereas Fei Foon would leave him on the blink of an eye! I mean when Vincent said he did not kill the man, Fei Foon does not even stop for a second to think he might be innocent, and even blames him for being untruthful? Like bro how long does he know you for telling you his whole life history? And that was very hypocritical of him too (with him hiding from Vincent for six months that he was police officer!) On top of that it pissed me off that he was always ready to give the villains the benefit of doubt which he never gave to Hui Leuk To.
All in all, despite all these complains I did like the show a lot and the story was very different and interesting. I watched a good show after a very long while and the couple made me giddy and smiling a lot of times. Some of the dialogues were also sweet and made me feel the butterflies. So all in all, I will give this show an 8 out of 10.

It's been more than a year!!
I still can't get these two characters out of my mind and my feeds, it's been more than a year now!!! I loved ChiWei so much💙💜. I want to see them together more😭😭😭😭.I have seen the show clips and read the book countless of times and I am still not over how cute and at the same time hot the couple is! I think I this one of the best C-BL of all times and this show has given literally everything. The chemistry is A1, the direction and acting is very good, the plot is very different, the osts are beautiful and the Bts just makes me want to continue watching them~~ they are as good as the show🖤🖤♥️🙈. Also unpopular opinion but I did not find this story at all toxic!
I would definitely recommend this show to people who have still not watched it! (Which I might judge you a little bit for). Rewatch value 9/10.
