I have my fingers crossed that the ending is a good one.

Episode 34 had me bawling. But it’s eps 35+ that has my hopes up again. The trailer shows MX turning a new leaf to put her smarts into tearing down the villains. I want to see her cut them down and clear her man’s name. Having her save the day would save this series for me!

I agree with all your points. In particular, I was very uncomfortable with CWD’s forced kiss on MX. Previously there were some vague “reasons” (aka excuses) but that last kiss was inexcusable.

As it stands, I believe each of the Bai women are too good for any of these men, and am now in the camp of wanting them to just ditch the lot of them and go live in a nunnery together.

I don’t know that Wu Yin is a main character. I suspect he will be a plot device that inadvertently reveals to WJG who the real villain is

From the previews in the opening, when MX is in the red dress, the man who walks beside her looks like Xiao Wu!

Completely agree! She’s like a Niao Niao that isn’t protected by status, life station, familial laws or etiquette. As who she was, MX’s relatives really didn’t need to care for her at all -and they didn’t.
