Over done amnesia

First , I actually love Jeremy Tsui, will watch anything with him in it. This is a good performance by him, but surely not one of his best. Wasn’t impress with FL or the wanna be girlfriend. 2nd leads were pretty good. I definitely agree that the amnesia bit went on too long, who ruined the story it would’ve been better with more romance especially since Jeremy was so romantic as the grand tutor. Could have done without the love triangle. Tired of women who chase men and are delusional about the man having any type of love for except in a sisterly way. Thinking the other woman that the man is interested in is a problem so she needs to be removed. Over played too much. I would hard pressed to watch this again even with Jeremy in it the amnesia wore me out

Liked the overall storyline. But did like the emperor and shi xueji characters. I understood why liu miantang didn’t chose the emperor, because he compromised his feelings for he desires, and didn’t let go of evil people who were around him so he could obtain the throne, and become emperor, even sun yun ‘er who he knew hurt the woman he supposedly loved( liu miantang). Such a hypocrite. Then without hesitation he gave sun yun’er a tile and may his other helper ‘s daughter the empress. Then stated he wanted to be a good ruler, comprising is part of getting things done and relationships but siding we evil people is a bit too much

Prejudice

ML always stating he would protect FL, always took care of her after the SML usually saved , and then he got her well or healed from injuries. He seem to have too many things to attend to, wasn’t usually around, knowing that many people wanted to harm the FL. SML spoke the truth let you get hurt again.
Then the girl she took in and treated like a sister betrayed her, trying to take advantage of the prince delirium to seduce him. A lot of disloyal people
Over all it was an okay story line , especially since it was a little different from your average period drama. I invested 28 episodes so I will see it to the end, although it’s start to get a little redundant, a little boring. Love the SML devotion to FL

Lack of respect and fidelity

Too many of the men don’t really respect the women including Qi Tang, especially those from a so called lower status. He love bayou so much, but he hurt due to a debt and promise he made to his childhood friend that he only liked, he fathered her child knowing the hurt zhaoyue had already experienced in her childhood. Two off the other men in the series didn’t have any problem letting the women in their lives support them because the were lazy, and had no ambition . Then that jiang yi was the worse, let his girlfriend support him for 10 years and then betray her a girl who was her enemy because of you and you help get her revenge even though she liked you . Then he at least attempted to get a job after he got with the other girl,?so he had no respect for Shao Qing you . Some terrible lovers. I wouldn’t have taken Qu Trang back after being humiliated like that, it seems if the sister had exposed the situation, would he ever had set the records straight. He would have stayed in that situation because of a promise, and he knew Wei Wei was doing malicious things to Zhao yue, so much for his love
