Sweet but just okay

I started watching this drama because I wasn't sure what I wanted to watch next, while I didn't feel like a super short drama, I also didn't feel like a long one either, LinXinYi looked cute and I hadn't gotten around to watching one of Luo Zheng's dramas yet so I dove in.

I didn't know what to expect so I didn't have a lot of expectations, but to my own surprise at the beginning I found myself enjoying it, it was full of cliches but I don't usually mind fluffy and sweet cliches so I wasn't bothered. I started getting my hopes up that this was actually quite a good watch. However to my disappointment while the first 2/3 were enjoyable, I started getting tired of it in the last 1/3.

PROS: I liked the ML and FL they were sweet, several cute scenes and I think they made a nice screen couple. ML's grandmother is a lot of fun and it is enjoyable to see how she works to help keep the couple together. For the most part there were not any downright "evil" characters (exception of the FL's father but we don't see him a ton anyway), and those that did wrong regretted it.

CONS: the main one is how the FL handles her true identity reveal - she dragged it out for so long when the ML could plainly tell something was wrong and even kept asking her...yet she claimed she was scared to lose the ML but after he finds out she regrets not telling him sooner. This was drawn over several episodes which I found frustrating. Also the reconciliation between the FL and ML could have been a bit better, it was unsatisfactory to me.

All in all, a decent watch but I wouldn't rewatch it either.

Fun and intriguing... for me its all about CZY

I came here immediately after watching Hidden Love, so you can say I watched this for CZY!

It was a good watch, the storyline was intriguing, there were lots of interesting little twists and turns which made it unique and different. I do think it was a tad confusing especially at the end, and I am not sure if I feel satisfied or not with the ending.

I will say that for me, it is all about CZY, he made me smile and giggle the most, his acting is so stellar and I loved seeing him as a playful and mischievous character.

Personally I will say that as a couple I didn't find a lot of chemistry between SY and CZY, it was natural and fun but not a sparkling and sizzling chemistry that grabbed my attention and pulled my heart strings.

I probably won't rewatch the whole drama again but it was sweet and I will look up my favorite clips.

Craving something sweet?

A cute, lighthearted and enjoyable watch with a fun storyline. I personally really liked how the drama explored what many have wondered at least one point or another about what it would be like if your celebrity crush turned out to also have a crush on you and became your boyfriend.

The ML and FL were cute together, loved the height difference. The FL was in general very sweet - I liked how she would use stuffed animals to talk about her feelings (I do the same). There was no major breakup, we did have one of those scenes where you push away in order to protect but it thankfully didn't last long and their making up after fighting scene is one of my favorites.

A good watch to satisfy your craving for something sweet and simple. I've watched it a few times and still find it enjoyable.

Answer it!

I decided to watch this out of the blue as I heard mostly good things about it and I am glad I did. I don't usually watch thriller or suspense drama tags but I personally found that the storyline evened those scenes out well for a mainly romance watcher like me.

I think that the ML and FL had fantastic chemistry and were just generally stellar, they had me pulled into the drama in the first episode. Their love story is very interesting as it was uncovering and realizing a hidden love that they already had for one another (not related to school life or years of separation), I haven't seen a drama focus on a love story like that before so it was very intriguing.

PROS: well as mentioned great chemistry and acting, I liked the OST (Yeon Seok's Say My Name is very pretty), I think it presents strong moral value - love overcomes past mistakes, giving second chances and choosing forgiveness over living in the past. I was never bored, held my attention all the way through.

CONS: I didn't love the ending for the second couple, I felt their love story was too rushed instead of showing a proper love confession and proposal. They were very cute so I was disappointed we didn't get a bit more for them. The most controversial thing I heard before watching this drama was that the last episode was disappointing. I agree it could have been tied up better and was a little unnecessary but I wasn't utterly disappointed in it. Could've been better but I will still take it.

All in all, a striking story and enjoyable watch
