Oh there is plenty of Tang dramas but often the stories are more serious and what work the best with international fans are the fantasy dramas. This dramas have really good ratings in China which is the most important for the production team and actors. It's probably gonna be back to back seasons. It's probably cut in two part because they can't do long dramas like before so it's a way to work behind the rule.
