Anyone know if this one end up with happy, sad or open ending? Kind of trauma of republican era cdrama although I kind of like this genre due to their patriotic tendency
watched so many republican era cdrama and most of the leads ended up in a bad condition watched romance in the rain (he shu huan ended up handicapped), watched the last episode of too late to say i love you (murong feng ended up amnesiac), knows a lil bit of siege in fog (male lead ended up to be a corpse-if yall know what i mean), and the last one is this one (xiao beichen ended up Missing in Action-although it's known later that he's pretty much alive with unknown condition). any suggestions of another good republican era cdrama to watch?

typical chinese republican era dramas. a lil bit of siege in fog synopsis (havent watch but, read from the synopsis, it's a lil bit similiar), with the ending a lil bit of Too late to say I love you (female lead - exactly like hang jing minus xiao nangui-looking for the male lead-who was a soldier- that ended up to be amnesia, so he couldnt look for the female lead, a possibility that could happened to xiao beichen too, since he didnt look for hang jing for approximately 6 years) why didnt they bother to make at least a special episode. for me, at least sad one is better than the open ending. although i'm happy he's alive, but still... and what a disappointment is, at least he should know hangjing's pregnant at that time. hope one day this drama would do a remake with a better storyline (especially to the character of Hangjing, they did a better revision of beichen's character than the novel one, at least hangjing's character shouldnt be revised worst than the novel one) and a better ending so... in the novel, beichen knows he had a son?

I dont really have any problem with Chen Duling. She’s just doing her job. But just like you, I complained the character of Hang Jing. Even the best actress would be disliked for Hang Jing’s role. She’s really dumb to be honest. I cant get why is that she always thinks the worst of Beichen and not of Mu zi zhen? Just hope someone would slapped her in the face to make her realize how she had wasted the love she got from Beichen

I root for her actually. She’s cunning. She’s evil. But at least she tried to prove that she’s worth it, even in the most cunning way. Became a psycopath because of her obsession is much better than the coldhearted HangJing who thought herself a self - righteous. She blamed Beichen for something happened to her father. It’s okay if she got mad, but run away with her husband’s enemy is really too much. Gave no respect for her husband. And she never even tried for their relationship. Always her husband that never give up for her. I just really wanna see for once that she’s really want to fight for her husband. Even once.

To this point, I think Feng Qi is far more better than Hang Jing She might be really evil and cunning. But at least, she really tried (even though in a wrong way), even for just obsession, to prove that she is more worth it than Hang Jing. Zero respect for Hang Jing, everyone would want someone who loved her more than anything (for me) Now, just here for Beichen. And I hope he really woke the heck up, move on to other (like I said before, at least Feng Qi is so much better than her). Want to know what is her reaction when she finally knows who that the real enemy is definitely not her estranged husband but her so called friend
