Did it occur to you that she perhaps wanted to keep her private life private? Loads of stars never show their pregnant selves, unless they’re captured by the paparazzi, in fact most of the Western and a lot of the Korean stars try to keep stuff like this private.

Her husband and her aren’t selling themselves to you as idols to date, they’re actors. You get what you see in a drama or a film and that’s it. I fully understand why she chose to deny the rumours because of the paparazzi who keep following her and the attention she gets.

Just enjoy her works and that’s it. If you can’t enjoy her works, then just ignore them. Easy.

The Male and Female leads were PERFECTION. I absolutely loved their acting and interactions. Perfect portrayal of their characters. I couldn’t ask for more. Absolutely brilliant.

Just by watching the film I understood everything, and didn’t even need to watch the drama. I absolutely loved the main leads, as such I couldn’t get used to the drama actors. Perhaps I watched way too many dramas, and that’s why I found the plot very straight-forward and the ending pretty obvious.

Hehe So why don’t you save money and shoot the drama yourself with your choice of main leads (oh, sorry, every…
Thank you. I’m not hating the drama, I haven’t even watched it. I’m not that impressed with the trailer, but I’ll obviously give it a go before making any judgements on the actual drama. In fact I wrote that I’d give it a go to see if what the director chose to do is compatible with my own take on the manhua. People are taking things a bit too personal. Not to mention, I haven’t insulted the actors at all, not sure why it was taken as such.

You really need to chill, it’s just a drama. Not everybody will agree with the choices of the director. Honestly... some people nowadays. There are plenty of actors who match the description of the FL & ML, if you’ve watched any other dramas, I’m sure you’ll know. Dilraba and Wu Lei are good actors, just not fit for these roles, imo.

I’ve been a fan of the manhua for so long, and have been waiting for this drama for years, but I’m disappointed…
*she was at first rubbish at sword fighting, she learnt to fight with a sword later on, around 40% into the story.

I’ve been a fan of the manhua for so long, and have been waiting for this drama for years, but I’m disappointed with the direction they seem to have taken for the story line. A lot of the action so far in the manhua happens in the plains of Great China, among the Turks, Uyghur, and such, perhaps only 30-40% was with the Han.

Additionally, the male and female leads don’t fit their manhua counterparts at all. Dilraba always seemed to me a strong woman, but Change Ge is actually a very frail girl easily passable for a weak boy at first. Our princess is very smart and decisive, though sometimes lost in her own internal war of principles and values. She becomes more feminine towards the later parts of the released manga, but still of a small built and fragile. She used an arbalest, but certainly was rubbish at sword fighting.

Ashina Sun on the other hand is a hunk of a man, he’s tall, well built, the saying “behind him like behind a mountain” is certainly attributable to him. He towered over our heroine with a wild tiger air about him, somebody ready to rip anybody to shreds to protect what’s his. The male lead in the drama just seems too innocent, young, and of a smaller built to properly fit the image of Ashina Sun.

I guess I’ll just have to give it a go and see if I can get used to this take of the manhua.

People say that she moved on quickly, but I don’t think so. She was never actually in love with him, it was more of an infatuation. ZZ had admired SPC for a long time, but in a different way from how she admired JR. With SPC - it was about his character and life values & morals, with JR - it was his creativity and work really. She and SPC had always had good chemistry, and she felt very comfortable around him, unlike with JR. So when she saw SPC becoming more mature and thoughtful towards others, and especially towards her, she ended up falling in love with him without realising when it actually started.

+ the time passing in the drama wasn’t properly clarified. Something that took at most two weeks (the relationship deterioration & break up with JR) was stretched over many episodes because I guess they wanted to highlight that personality compatibility and only true feelings can be at the base of a lasting marriage/relationship.

From the moment of the breakup till the MLs getting together, it must’ve been at least a month or two. I mean so much stuff had happened between then and current eps, which would require at least a few months to play out, that I really don’t see how she moved on too quickly.

I guess it’s the production’s team fault for not properly specifying just how much time had passed.

if you have husband . do you feel the necessitiy to watch romantic stuff? im single so iwatch it but what about…
I’m married (newly wed really), and I still watch romance dramas. Sometimes my husband joins me if the dramas aren’t too long. I love retelling him stories from dramas too and we discuss them. It’s fun!

So far, all of my predictions have come true. Hehe, I’ve seen too many dramas /sigh.

I look forward to the next episodes, I have a feeling things are about to get very interesting.

SPC and ZZ, fighting!

I started watching the drama with my husband, and he was like the architect disregards ZZ’s opinions on how she wants to live her life. JR, your proposal was appalling, it’s pretty much you asking for her permission to put her in a cage and throw away the key, LOL. PC, you cutie, I’m rooting for you! The fried egg ring is the sweetest thing ever haha

My goodness, yes! That’s exactly what I said in a previous review. He did not take responsibility for something he decided and then let her apologise and feel guilty for his decision. That’s not the type of behaviour a husband should display. He is quite cowardly, agreed for sure. ZZ needs to wake up and face the reality, they’re not on the same frequency and unlikely to ever reach it.

To me the thing between ZZ and JR feels more like an idol/fangirl relationship than a real one. At this point…
Exactly my thoughts. I’ve been saying this for a while, the two of them don’t have a relationship foundation so how in the world could they even think of getting married, buying a house, and much less have kids?! It’s like sorry, but your marriage won’t withstand the smallest of hurdles. ZZ, wake up please :(

Wow, that escalated quickly. PC was right about the whole thing. Taking on such responsibility is best left to the people who actually pay for the house, or you’ll find yourself in dire straights when stuff goes wrong. JR is not very good at protecting his girlfriend. It was his idea all along to keep the secret, so he should have taken the responsibility, why leave it on ZZ’s shoulders...Tsk tsk
P.S. When you feel uncomfortable being even a bit initimate with your future husband, that’s rather worrying. I get it, it’s been two months since they saw each other, but it shouldn’t be this awkward... I wonder if it has to do with her own feelings for him?

Actually, I don’t think it’s all that bad. PC has still got some matters to resolve, i.e. his relationship with his father, and most importantly for the truth to come out that he’s the son of the chairman. Personally I think that this should come out before PC and ZZ get together, otherwise she’d be hurt that her own boyfriend hid sth like that from her. Next, there’s this actress Bessia, who’s yet to appear. I’m pretty sure she’ll be the one JR will be interested in later on, so no, they won’t have PC and ZZ come together just at the very end. Have a bit of faith, the producers wouldn’t create such a rubbish scenario. Oh and another thing, from ending credits, PC seems to be very close to ZZ’s parents, so they will be appearing soon too. Most likely they won’t be happy that their daughter wants to get married to smb she barely knows. I can’t wait to see how the plot develops further, I’m quite impressed so far tbh.

I agree that many second leads have good problem solving skills, but I think you need to remember that first leads are usually portrayed as being even better at it. Given that the drama is realistic, I actually think that her going to him for help at all times will make her realise that he’s a better companion in life than JR. Most importantly, ZZ fell in love with JR from observing him from afar, don’t you think she can fall in love with PC from observing closely? She is certainly affected by him, the drama has shown that she’s not “immune” to his charms, and just because she said she saw him as a didi, doesn’t necessarily mean that she was honest with herself about her feelings. We’ll see how it goes I guess.

I agree on that, I think she’ll come to realise that as well. My husband and I started talking about kids pretty early on, but we didn’t buy a house after being together for less than a month, that’s just crazy. I think she’s so swept up in the fact that he likes her that she doesn’t realise how much she’s rushing when the relationship is still so new.
