great drama intense moments regardless of what anyone says it has great potential and it was amazing !
agreed. it was the best version of it started with a kiss. The story was what it was.... but joe and ariel made it sizzling. No one was able to do it better. The korean version was far more rigid.
fair enough. I am in the middle of watching it now, am getting to 6th episode at the moment but I couldn't stay my hand when I saw the discussions and speaking from the general point of view this is how I feel. Other than that, i feel some ways of doing dramas should saty within a particular country. This drama does look quite dated, but I like Vic in his role and the main actress is displaying great fragility. SIn general I am against remakes, too, though, unless they come from the same writer, like new princess pearl. Sometimes remakes don't do justice at all... Taiwanese it started with a kiss, for once had intensity, chemistry, feelings. Korean version fell a little short. But I';ll get back to this discussion after I finished watching it. For now, it's pulled me in.
The Korean version of "El Zorro" I cannot wait. Saw the first two episodes and I'm hooked it looks so…
This IS looking like a very exciting drama and looks like something refreshing too. I'll be happy to see shin hyun joon...that guy is underrated, he should get his five or 15 minutes to shine among all this. The feeling of Zorro does seem adequate...I grew up on Zorror in one form or another.

oioooh Hugh Laurie, yes! Have you seen House Series finale yet? Hahah, I know, I have been brainwashed like that too :D
I really really like it so far, let's hope it won't disappoint me. Not only it is funny, but also this guy who…
It is actually looking up to be a worthwhile comedy for a change,I have enjoyed the first episode, I hope they will keep it up and not destroy it with some ridiculous storyline.

ow, get better soon. it;s rainy here too. Gou did a fine job for what it was, not my top favourite historical drama, but ok to watch, it;s just that i found the main actress unsuitable for ther role, much as I like in general, she annoyed me greatly, but I don;t think it was bad,in fact there were moments when I was completely pulled into the story and quite annoyed at times but then I have nothing to compare it too since it was my first japanese historical drama and i hear atsu hime is better. The guy who plays Hideyoshi does a tremendous job, too. Such a character!
There are very few dramas that make me laugh as much as this one. Granted, number 1 was more funny. I hate sequeles but the second part was mpore like a seamless contunuation and Buchou and Amemiya are adorable..just less funny, but it;s still nice to see her make more progress haha. However, I am worried about the upcoming film...it;s like teypre trying to milk the franchise. I don;t know the manga....has anyone read the manga? does it story follow the manga and if so where does the manga end?

I am so fed up with people only after the pretty boys, it;s like they cannot appreciate good acting and in fact the older guys are so much hotter than the young ones, aside from the fact that they can actually ACT. Men in 30-45s are at their best! I am fed up with society insistence on yourh and pretty eyes and pretty eye lashes etc it annoys me to no end that older actors are odten overlooked. And when they are discovered it;s like especially some shallow teen girls oh he;s great, even if he;s 30- I say, WHAT? EVEN IF? ESPECIALLY IF. I soo can;t stand agist comments!
But says me who is hoplessly in love with Anthony Hopkins acting. He is an actor to die for. Who is your favourite non-Asian actor?

he is. for me he is a heart throb :D i don't understand why some people say he;s not handsome, when he is too. I really love older actors. I wasnlt denying him talent in EM, either, it was clear to me he was carrying that drama, he's good as a lead. :sigh: This is the kind of actor/acting to get dreamy about. :P
Well, the drama pulls me in but I just hate triangles and that other girl is annoyinng- can she be any more annoying? I really dislike annoying, clingy pdeople. They have no grace whatsoever. I''ll keep watching, it;s not like I'm not used to scheming witches and it;s been a while since I saw a drama with one. But in turn the first three episodes have really established interest and it is looking up like a heartbreaking story. It does look like emotions will run high and rampant in this one...I like Vic Zhou. Seen him in Sweet Relationship, where he had an absolutely adorable love interest in Bai Xui.
I am curious about this drama but for me taiwanese are often hardly watchable, to be honest, because they do not quite satisfy that depth and/or spirituality I am after. It really depends on what watching habits we have, imho, and what we are used to. Ultimately, it;s hard to just cast off any drama from any country into ione bag because in each country there will be more emotional and less emotional dramas...that is emotional in the way they speak to us. Without enmotional connection, there is no drama watching experience, imho..in fact, there is no art if it does not connect emotionally with the viewer... audience/reader.
I tend to disagree...Japanese dramas may be more difficult for westerners sometimes because they really do tend to be very open to subjects they deal with, but they also have more depth, more purity and less physicality. Showing emotions in a physical way is very private and personally I really respect them for not doing it, IF they do not do it. They are able to somehow show strong bonds in different ways, by capturing theor spirituality, but it also depends which japanese dramas you;ve seen...I haven;t seen them shying away from kissing or holding hands. See, for instance, dramas with kimutaku. It's changing, I suppose. But I love it when Japanese dramas achieve ephemerality and when they are more poetic. Besides, I lately watched ninkyo helper...emotions there are actually very prominent and visible... and they give off a sense of depth. that said, i am curious to watch this drama.
lol but isn't that lovely? So old-school, old-fashionedly quaint. He's likeable.

Good morning Yeona. Reporting that I watched Cyrano agency and I liked it, it;s a crafty film plust its ambience is quite lovely, especially the theatre parts and the great use of light. And I love Uhm Tae Wong :D He's a very skilled actor, gosh I like actors who actually have CHARACTER rather than merely a pretty face.
But says me who is hoplessly in love with Anthony Hopkins acting. He is an actor to die for. Who is your favourite non-Asian actor?
